Myra Hotel Mersing

The location is about 10 minutes from the bus and ferry terminals, however not convenient for walking to either one. The room was a good size.

The bathroom was not clean. The sheets were not also clean. The location was at an intersection and was very noisy at night with motorcycles going on pass midnight.

Myra Hotel Mersing is a small hotel in the center of Mersing town.Location: Myra Hotel has very central and comfortable location. Bus station and ferry boat station/jetty were 10-15 minutes of walking distance from the hotel. ATM, shops, supermarkets, restaurants, bank are just outside of the hotel.Room: I was provided with comfortable size room with window. There was a queen size bed with clean bedsheets and pillows, towels, an electric kettle, glasses, bottled water, a small console table with chair, a TV, an air conditioner, cloth hangers, a bedside table and a bench. There was an en-suite bathroom with hot water and soap. Walls in my room were dirty, with marks, stains and cracked in some places, but it was not an issue for me.I felt some humidity in the room. But I think it is a problem of all buildings located at the tropical sea shore. Free Wi-Fi internet worked very well in my room.I noticed water cooler/dispenser and iron board with iron in the hallway near stairs. I don’t know if it is for hotel guests or for somebody else.There is a deposit of 50 ringit. I don’t know for what, just know about it.Overall, it is a good place to stay for one-two days before/after going to Tioman island. You will have everything needed for modest but comfortable stay.

When I washed my hand in the bathroom, all water was leaking on the floor and canalization hole. But it was not an issue for me. Hotel deserves some love and care in order to shine. There was also some long and loud noise coming from pipes (like water is running non-stop).

no plug near bed and book for family room B2 but got plug cannot be use near the vanity mirror. request for 3point plug or extension from receiption but were inform no 3point plug and extension all broken.

Location is in the middle of the town. Many shops around.

The noise from the toilet kept interrupting my sleep. When someone upstairs flush their toilet the noise is horrible.Faulty water heater.

Noisy as the the eatery downstairs was noisy and location is not within walking distance and far from the Mersing bus terminal and ferry terminal.

For 1 night sleep over is fine enough.

Rusty, need a lot of maintenance works, the pillows are too hard and not comfortable at all to sleep.

The location- the property was a 15minute walk from the main village which meant the resort is much quieter and more remote.Balcony with chairs + nice sea view.

The service was absolutely horrendous. Despite staying for 5 nights, they didn't even clean our room once. Instead they gave us 4 toilet rolls so they didn't have to bother. They didn't even empty the bin which was filled with toilet paper in the bathroom- disgusting! We also were not given any soap and the shower gel dispenser was empty. As well as this we had ants in our room- see picture below. There is no wifi in the room so every time you want to connect you have to go to reception. You should also know that it's a 15 minute walk through the jungle to reach the hotel from the village therefore we did arrange a boat to collect us when we arrived as we were carrying 20kg in a rucksack each. Unfortunately we were left stranded at the jetty when no boat came. We waited, contacted the property and still no one came. We tried to call but this also didn't work. After a while we made the journey by foot , which was extremely challenging whilst carrying luggage as there are many trip hazards, it's up and down hill, climbing over rocks, roots and fallen down trees. In some parts it's so challenging, they have even put ropes in, therefore I was even more shocked they didn't make sure we were collected as arranged. Once we finally arrived we didn't even get an apology. When it was time to leave we informed them we would prefer the boat to the jetty back as it was previously extremely difficult carrying our luggage. They offered to take us at 10am however I explained that my ferry boarding time was 10am, could they take us before. They said no. So again, we had to make the journey back on foot. It is a real shame as the location of the resort is actually very nice but everything else was extremely disappointing!

very near to the mersing jetty just a short walking distance, near a mamak stall open 24 hours. there’s a water station for refill with hot/cold/normal water for free.

Strategic location for those who wants to go islands hoping. Got parking area in front of hotel. Customer service is excellent. Cheapest and nearest the jetty. Got mamak restaurant across the side.

Stairs. Haha. But doesn’t seem a problem for those not on a wheelchair.

The staff is friendly and the room meets my expectations. It is value for money especially for a short trip that I had.

The hotel didn’t provide parking. However, the staff was able to tell what could be done to avoid summons from the Municipal Council. But I wish they would tell us the parking coupons are not needed since it is Saturday (It is like Sunday for us in Melaka where parking coupons are not needed on Sunday since there is free parking on Sunday).

Room was clean and decent. Overall value for the money you paid.

Great value for money when staying in Mersing. All staff were lovely and really helpful, they let us keep our bags there after checkout as our ferrry to tioman wasn’t until 4pm.Decent size room and en-suite for money.

Bathroom need small refurbish especially on the wall. Re do the grouting and it will looks nice & clean

Convenient- easy and prompt check in/out, receptionists were helpful and friendly. Aircon was efficient.

Towel had some musty smell. We requested for a non-smoking room but we are not too sure if we were given one (found clean ashtray on table).

Best budget hotel. Clean, big n comfortable room. Staff very nice and helpfull. Location is in the centre of the town. Value for money???
