Berjaya Tioman Resort

The resort is nice and decent. Suitable for family with young kids. The Fireshow was amazing.The roti canai was good.

1. The toilet sink need some maintenance.2. The breakfast was kinda below average. The pastries were really bad. Hard even after we reheat. The mee goreng is super plain. Even the makcik kantin's level have some vege or fish ball. 3. As it was the weekend before the Malaysia Day, they were running full house. Called the buggy, waited for 30 minutes and no buggy. If one of us not medically challenge it's ok for us to walk. They should have calculate the expectations from their years of experience.

Wonderful and beautiful, well maintained beach.Food was delicious in both eateries with very polite and helpful staff.Rooms were well furnished and spacious.

No consideration on our bed preferences, but on site they swapped us to a room with the bed we requested.It is low season, so not all offers were available (e.g. buffet for lunch);They seem to be understaffed for room maintenance as it took very long to get the rooms cleaned and supplied with towels, as in general, the hotel would require some maintenance and has been coming to age.Sand flies were just too annoying

We had 3 days in a row with different issues: the boiler making noise, the airco dripping water in the room, no towels in the room (they took the old ones without replacing them ?). All the issues were promptly solved.Enough variety for breakfast, european and asian alike.

The massage service is not the best one. Quite pricey for the service provided.The same snorkeling tour offered here is a bit cheaper at the guy next to the resort gate.

Roti canai at breakfast is great! And the activities organized by Berjaya is very rewarding, unfortunately a lot of them are not available

Spoilt GoPro Hero and unable to resolve the SD card issue

It was beautiful and peaceful. It wasn’t over manicured, but it was well kept. The staff were friendly and helpful but unobtrusive. It was a genuine island resort- laid back

I would have liked a snack or two. But with hindsight I realise the lack of eg. Pool snacks were deliberate because some bold monkeys would have been drawn to them.

Overall well maintain. Clean beach. The buggy is comfortable. Hotel near jetty. Didn’t need a long ride. On time to send us back to jetty too.

Due to hot weather I thought we could hang out in game room but it was not well maintain. Playground is ok but the air cond is poor . It got bored after one time use. The bed got bugs, my family got bitten at night. The house keeping did not give us towel after clean and we have to call and only get a few pieces, we didn’t try to pursue for more. Ala carte food can be improved. We opt for pizza and is cold. Glad we manage to get a last minute Birthday cake but it was not great. Least I can expect from island.

Very good for family

The beach bar and happy hour should be advertised for the guests. BBQ should be done on the beach as an activity and experience for parents and children.

Beach is quite nice, very clean. Kids happy to swim there and can see a lot of fish including turtles and sharks.Fasilities are a bit old but it's OK we enjoyed staying there and eating breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The room was great, clean and cosy. Breakfast was very good and can satisfy every taste.Beach and pool are amazing and the environment is very peaceful due to low season.

However, staff is not very helpful when it comes to providing reliable information, you have to pay to access any kind of activity and games, and due to low season, a lot of activities and meals were not available.

Fantastic location - quiet, beautiful beach and pristine views. Resort has everything you need on site, no need to travel out. Good WiFi coverage throughout entire resort.Excellent staff - very polite, helpful and accommodating to our needs. Even gave us free goodies as they were closing their gift shop for the end of the season.

Overall cleanliness was decent but could be improved. TV location in two-bedroom chalet could be better. TV in single bed room is awkwardly placed which makes it hard to walk into the double bed room.

Few dining options, when we came in 2015 there was an Indian restaurant, a Thai restaurant and one all day dining.... now they only have all day dining with few options

It was right on the beach property, beautifully placed. It provides you all the services needed like packages for water activities, kids ATV rides & Kayaking (these I tried) and many more like Spa treatments, beach bar, swimming pool by the beach etc. Their accommodations are spread across long distance but the Buggy services connects it all. They have on request complimentary pick up and drop from the jetty. Considering I was travelling with my 5 yr kid, they proactively supported me for early check-in. In room dining was quick (that might be also due to the low no. of tourists in Oct), and always served warm enough.

Rooms need renovations for sure, even though the design and location are so awesome. Shower heads in the bathroom are to be immediately replaced (might be limited to the 2 bedroom chalet I stayed in - 532/533). We had only one nightmare moment - Even though all windows were sealed off with bug mesh, some how (mostly from the below the door gap or when cleaning staff kept the door open) 3 small frogs dropped by at night 2 AM to say hi by jumping on our faces. We got them and released them outside, later intimated the reception (they gave a "That's common thing" expression) to change the bed sheets completely that day (which they did promptly).

The facilities onsite, very convenient. We could play golf, tennis, go to the gym.

A little too quiet but probably because it is the end of the season.

Big rooms were nice and the connection between the parent’s room and children’s room was perfect.

The drinks at the bar were limited. I ordered a Mai Tai, but was given an orange juice and told this was correct.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.Enjoyed the round of golf.

The grounds - very bare, with a need for more landscaping. Litter and discarded grass trimmer plastic blades everywhere. The food at the restaurant was only 'OK'. The accommodation is very basic. Outdated facilities and appliances. Our aircon didn't allow a change of temperature or fan speed. So, ice cold or nothing. No water on our final morning meant we couldn't shower before we left. The place just needs updating. In its current state, it doesn't represent value for money.

Friendly and helpful staff, nice beach front and swimming pool.

The toilet and shower, they are quite worn out, in need of a refresh. The toilet bowl takes forever to flush.

The Staffs at the hotel friendly and helpful. The hotel has a private beach so more privacy and not crowded. Therefore, can enjoy the moment and more relax.

The room which i'm stayed don't have pipe. I don't like it.

The location was excellent but the chalets and facilities were run down.

Quality of resort diesn’t match their adverts

Doesn’t match the advertisements. Great location and buffet breakfast. However, Power outages, poor/no wifi, old condom wrapper under bed.if you stay here there is no guarantee of a quality stay as its so large and its expensive for such service. I have contacted this hotel 3 times after our stay and they haven't responded so posting this here:We had 2 rooms, 4 people, for 3 nights and these are my complaints- on your [link removed]profile you stated high speed internet. This was not correct, your internet was variable. V poor at times and also at times there was no internet/wifi. 2 of our group wanted to work, and we used your business centre and its unacceptable that the wifi was so poor/not working at times.- we most power in our rooms several times for few hours again unacceptable.- the shower wasnt hot- there was an empty durex condom wrapper under one bed that i handed into reception - one curtain was coming down off the rail.
