    Pros +

    • Loved the decor in the hotel. Beds comfortable, staff wonderful and accommodating. Great restaurant next door
    • The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, decorated in a very authentic traditional Romanian style.Food is absolutely delicious. A great stop!
    • The reception and staff were very hospitable, even for a late-night arrival, which I appreciated. Breakfast was good, and the lady at the restaurant was friendly and attentive. The hotel was clearly clean, which was a positive. There’s a garden in the backyard that’s nice enough, and a swimming pool that seemed a bit neglected, likely because of the end of the season.

    Cons -

    • All the stairs
    • I stayed for one night only and had a mixed experience. I was given a room on the top floor, which was a mansard-style room, accessible only via a steep, wooden staircase. This is definitely something to be mindful of, especially if you have mobility issues, as there is no elevator in the hotel and the stairs are quite steep and challenging. The room itself was basic, and I was disappointed to find no water provided, empty refrigerator, especially given my late-night arrival. Additionally, the air conditioner was oddly placed behind the closet, making it difficult to access. The overall experience was okay for a brief stay, but I would recommend the hotel consider these factors to improve comfort and accessibility for future guests.
    • The place is run down. Everywhere you look you find shabbiness and things that are past their lifetimes. I had room on the third floor, and it had very dim lighting. You can see that the photographer turned the brightness on the photos all the way up to make it look as if the rooms are bright. They are not. The room was also a fire trap. I have no idea how I would get out of the room if I could not use the door. There was no proper top sheet or blanket on the bed. Instead there was some sort of duvet cover about as wide as the single bed. Is that meant to be a sleep sack? I wasn't planning on using the pool, but there is no way I would. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned in 10 years.

    Pleasant

No light in the bathroom the person at the reception replaced our light bulb though. We also noticed late in the night there was no toilet paper at the bathroom. We knew it would not be the greatest stay based on what we paid, but you would expect at least to have what is needed in the bathroom.

The only positive thing is the position.

First unpleasant episode. On my arrival (18:30), there was no one at reception. I had to wait more than 10 minutes for someone to arrive. The guy, visibly annoyed, instead of welcoming me, immediately asked me how I wanted to pay (shameful)!!!!Second bad surprise. He gave me a "room" on the third floor, which is accessed through a narrow wooden staircase, steep and very dangerous. The room is actually a narrow and claustrophobic cubicle, arrdato with very old "furniture"; the bathroom is tiny, there is not even a towel rack.In my opinion, the facility does not comply with safety regulations and is completely inaccessible to the elderly and disabled. Terrible!

Easy check in / check. Friendly staff.Excellent well appointed room. Clean and comfortable.Nice breakfast. Free parking available.Nice food available in the restaurant next door.

Good stopover for a night and secure parking for motorcycle only negative was that reception said wait five minutes for hot water but hot water in shower never came so considering what you pay for the room but don’t get a hot shower is disappointing

The Hotel is on the National Road, I stayed one night on the way from Bucharest. The roomas are spaciuous and clean. Mattress and sheet are comfortable. Bath is big and has enough storage and hangers.

Restaurant staff next door very pleasant and the blonde young lady and the tall young man at breakfast was really nice as well

The hotel was overrated and overpriced, feeling more like a 2-star rather than a 4-star establishment. I am giving a 2-star rating mainly due to the kindness of some staff members. The rooms were traditionally decorated and tasteful, with AC but no remote, and the heating was excessive. We tried to contact reception, but the phone wasn't even plugged in. The breakfast was very poor, and when few rooms were occupied, the buffet was replaced with just an omelette. Despite our 4-night stay and requesting room cleaning, it didn't happen. When I raised this issue during check-out, the staff member argued rather than being sympathetic about the lack of towels for 4 days. On a positive note, the food in the restaurant next door was nice and traditional. Overall, I believe this hotel should invest in customer service training for frontline staff. I will not be returning.

We loved our stay at " Moara Dragaicilor"Our room was at the attic, but it wasn't a problem because it was so quite, the room isn't very big but it was ok for our needs. The breakfast was delicious and quite various. We served the dinner at their restaurant, which is awesome with a lot of traditional tools and the food was great!!!We recommend this accommodation!

Couldn’t possibly recommend it at any price.

Bathroom was too small to move, hot water was slow (we were warned) and only a few drops.Bed wasn’t prepared - we only found the bed linen the next morning.Room was under the eaves so I couldn’t stand up straight. Also it was very hot and stuffy. An open window just allowed all the noise of traffic and nearby parties.Staff in the restaurant were stunningly rude.

Room decor. Ambience. Spacious room. Restaurant setting.

The appearance of hotel from outside. The swimming pool that isn't a swimming pool.
