Location was fine and bed ok

Manager should be aware that when he directs you to park alongside the unit you don't park under a tree. The car was desecrated with bird droppings in the morning.

Great location at Cloncurry, exactly halfway from Townsville to Tenant Creek. Good pizzas and other food options for dinner. Good value for money compared to Mount Isa.

Being full of charm outside of the building with very clean and comfortable good sized room. Microwave, kettle, iron, toiletries, very comfortable bed with crisp linen. Quiet location.

The vicinity of nextdoors smoking area being very close to our door. Both our doors were next to each other.This is not a problem for those who smoke and just my only issue as a non smoker.

Friendly staff, easy check-in, meals can be dine in or takeaway, I got the pizza and chips takeaway and they were great. Pet friendly which is why I booked it. As a solo traveler, I felt safe in this room as it also had the chain lock inside. Bed was really comfortable as well so between that and feeling safe, it was a great nights sleep.

The Motel has old town charm being a hotel in the early days. Food at the restaurant was excellent. The accommodation was more modern and comfortable.

I stayed here two nights. One night through a booking.com reservation and one night directly with the hotel. For the booking.com reservation I was in a room with a Queen bed. I left a rating accordingly. However, it seems I have to justify my rating. The mattress was okay. Not too hard or too soft in terms of firmness. However, I think the bed had 4 or 6 pillows from memory and they weren't comfortable for sleeping on. Either too soft and had no support or were too hard and bulky. Additionally, there is no sound deadening between the rooms. So after travelling and long days when you want to have a comfortable night sleep, all you can hear is the rooms either side of you talking to each other, on the phone, kids, room service etc etc. That goes towards the comfort of a room / bed depending if you can actually sleep easily or not. When the room next door entered their key into their door, it sounds like someone is entering your room. And in the morning, room service knocked on their room and opened their door and 10 minutes later without knocking, entered my room.I won't go into my experience with the other room as it wasn't part of the Booking.com reservation; however, my original review should have applied. I shouldn't be asked to change it by management. I understand that small towns rely on good feedback to get patronage and I understand that country towns are going to be a bit worn out and dated compared to city things. It is why I didn't elaborate further in my original review. Management wants me to change it. So be careful what you wish for. Changed / updated to reflect why I left my valid review.
