Cons -
- Our bedsheets were dirty & the staff behind the bar were very rude
- It was a little difficult to find our room. We were told what floor but didn’t realize there were two sides to the lifts and came out the wrong side. Either way no instructions when you get out of the lift to where the rooms started. We had to ask a couple of people. In the end it was a cleaner that showed us where our room was
- My stay at your hotel was unpleasant, and my holiday was ruined for the following reasons:As per photos and video attached the room carpet was wet and stinky, the bathroom door lock was missing, the conditioner bottle was empty, the wallpaper was damaged and the sink was not draining water and get filled up so quickly. The housekeeper didn't clean the room or changed the towels or filled the conditioner bottle on the second dayWater pool was so dirty as per the photo and I asked the reception to be cleaned for the next day but still hasn't happened for the rest of my stay.Pool was closed on Monday, and we couldn't access even the pool area before our check out.Power cut off happened on the 2 days of my stay for long hours, and with the no window room we had, we couldn't stay inside, as no generators installed for such situation for these specific rooms!!I thought of staying in the outdoor area in the beachie restaurant for some fresh air till this power outage get fixed, but the restaurant manager kicked us out and closed the whole area and recommended us to go anywhere else in this rainy weather!!!!I approached the hotel reception for help if we can stay in the dining area where the breakfast is served till the power get fixed (I believe this area belongs to the hotel and not the beachie club), but she was soooooo unprofessional and she brought me the same beachie restaurant manager to talk to us. I don't know why she get this manager while she is not responsible for the hotel as what she mentioned to us, Again, she was so rude and advised us that we can leave the hotel and book in any other hotel. My holiday was ruined and we were treated so badly in an unacceptable and unprofessional attitude.

There is nothing that we disliked at the Beachcomber. In fact I think my wife is already planning our next visit to the Beachcomber as we both really enjoyed our stay
Rooms were nice
Rooms with view of car park were overpriced.Being attached to a busy pub has it's good and bad aspects for a stay.
Nice outdoor seating and car parking with chargers. Nice views too.
Room was rather small. Beds were not thay comfy. Lights were flickering and the chair had a broken leg which I had to fix myself. Wallpapers peeled off at multiple places.
It had a lovely holiday vibe, the decor and were facilities were great
Our room wasn’t very clean, there were cigarette butts on the balcony and 2minute noodles spilt on the floor of the balcony. Quite a few food/coffee splatters on the walls… bathrooms would really love a deep clean once in a while. Also the aircon wasn’t working, the staff didn’t tell us until we asked for it to be fixed. It was a very uncomfortable nights sleep, all they offered to make up for it was free water and ice! A free breakfast as compensation would have been nice!
Stayed in a room that claimed not to have a window. It did actually have one, but was obscured and didn't allow light to enter. It was still useful as it was able to be opened to let air in. Room was large with a good size bathroom and comfortable bed. Big screen TV was a lovely addition. The room has all the basic amenities as well as room service which is perfect. The hotel is clean, modern and well equipped. The adjoining pub is great. It's a huge venue with reasonably tasty pub meals. It's a good family venue (but does become a full-fledged pub later in the evening which may not be appropriate for kids). The pool is very nice. It's genuinely heated and the spa is also warmer than others I've experienced at more 'luxury hotels'. It's a very nice relaxing place to be as it overlooks the lake. The staff are lovely. Very friendly and helpful where they can be. Customer service is definitely a highlight.
During the weekend I stayed, the air-conditioning situation in the rooms was strange. We were told that the system was still in 'winter mode' and would only blow out warm air if we switched it on. Basically the air-conditioning wasn't working, but the staff/hotel did not want to admit it. Possibly because it was a completely booked weekend and the system could not handle the demand. The staff offered fans for the rooms, but considering it's a 4 star hotel (and the price paid) it's not a reasonable compromise. Tt really should have been a discount in the stay price. Luckily the weather wasn't too hot. The overall finishes on some parts of the room are a bit sloppy. For example over painting in some areas, pencil marks that are on the doors to mark where the latches go etc. Clearly this remnants of the recent renovation, and it's not a big deal but again I was paying a premium by staying there. The security situation seems a little off. The hotel uses RFID keys for the rooms, but not in the lifts. This seems a strange because it means guests can travel between any level. Also, access to the accommodation area of the hotel seems to be easy from outside, and from the pub area which is open to the public. You can essentially just walk through and I think this could be done by the general public. I'm not entirely sure how to feel about this. To the credit of the hotel, security guards were present on Saturday and Sunday nights. These aspects make it feel a bit amateur. That is, it's like a family run motel was purchased by a corporation but still run with a slightly family business mindset. This is not to take away from what it is, it's a lovely venue and I would stay again. The surrounding area/suburb isn't the nicest however.
Great location, beautiful accommodation and hotel, very friendly and efficient staff.
The room was nice
Breakfast was terrible. The selection of food was poor. The sausages were like rubber The poached eggs were as hard as golf balls and the waitress slid the plates with the poached across the table like she was playing on a hockey table. Plus we waited 30 minutes for the eggs and our tea and coffee. We are in our sixties and have travelled all over the world and it was one of the worst breakfast experiences we have ever had. 2/10
View is spetacular
The bed is too soft, and the room is overpriced
Original room was overlooking parking/ road, and we were generously upgraded upon querying if there were other rooms available. We had a beautiful view.
Staff members were great, amazing service and amazing place. The food is also very yummy- and the buffet brekkie is great!
If you go during a non-peak season just make sure to double check when they are closing the restaurant as we attended when kitchen was closed. Other than that it was all amazing - great place to stay!
Always like staying at the Beachcomber, like its convenience to other places in Toukley.
The fact of having to ask for things that were missing from the room. Like body wash was empty in bathroom, advised it would be fixed and it wasn’t. Also no spoon for coffee/tea etc. and bottled water. Parking also was a problem due to non staying customers parking in there. Apart from Parking issue the rest is not a huge problem, just feel like they shouldn’t have had to be mentioned.
Beautiful lake view .
The clean up the room service was so slowly and need to wait for a long time.
Wonderful views and amenities. Very helpful staff and the easter egg hunt was an added bonus for the kids.
Easy check in, room very comfy, shower great. outside areas are very good. Easy to relax, wind down, have a beverage and chill out. Had dinner in house, reasonable menu, very well done and quick to arrive at table. Being Easter, parking was at a premium, but got a park, all good.
The swimming pool and the view.
The lighting was not the greatest as it flickered on and off
We had the best stay here.. the hotel looks just like the pictures. The staff were excellent, amazing / fast service, comfy beds, amazing entertainment and beautiful location. The vibe was so great too and there was no fee on room service which was a lovely surprise as we ordered it late a few nights! So happy and will definitely go back.
Nothing! Next time we will 100% pay extra to get a water facing room but that was our mistake. We still had a balcony but no view.
Great location excellent friendly staff. Very professional service.
