Pros +
- Staff, nice room, great restaurant
- We did not eat at the restaurant there. However, we found the container of tea, coffee and biscuits good. We also found plates, cups and cutlery very well appointed. Also the small fridge relatively large, and there was a small freezer compartment where we could keep our esky ice cold.
- Quiet location (no noise from main street), spacious room, great menu at onsite Thai restaurant! Friendly staff a bonus.
Cons -
- Location next to freight train line
- I had booked a room for 3 people. However as I am a large lady I found it a little difficult when squeezing past the corner of one bed in order to go to the bathroom. We also did have trouble working out how to work the wifi, but it was too late to find out what wasn't working.
- Peak holiday period so a few grubby spots (laminated information sheets on coffee table had food splatters; coffee mug left on outdoor table; empty toilet roll outside the room) which probably wouldn't happen normally :) Friendly staff made up for this.

This is not even a two star establishment!
The bathrooms need redoing. We decided to come home without showering after looking at the bathroom. There were two cups in the room, one teacup and the other a mug but no spoons. The cupboard door didn't work, you could sit at the table and chair as it was too cramped therefore a waste having them.
Room and bathroom were very clean and bed was comfortable. Thai restaurant attached to motel was a bonus. Very tasty food!
There was we could say that we didn’t like.
We did not like anything about the motelIt certainly was worth $155 and should be rated 2 Star not 3 StarThis experience has turned us off ever booking a 3 star motel again
The room is out dated. The carpets are stained and unsightly, the bed was very uncomfortable. We considered going to the restaurant but on inspection of the facilities they appeared in poor condition and worn out and aged.I was very surprised at the general state of the restaurant and bar area
Well maintained,rooms where a wonder size,great location
The internet kept cutting out.
Comfy clean country motel.
Easy to access and park. Clean and tidy rooms.
The owner was talking on the phone the whole time she booked me in. The milk in the fridge was out of date.
I was available.
1. Old and worn down. 2. No power point near the bed to plug my phone into charge.3. Noisy aircon.
An overnight stop on our way to Sydney. Very HOT weather so the aircon was much appreciated.
Although adequate, the rooms could certainly do with a good refresh.
Passable
Bed was not very comfortable and sheets were quite old and had a few stains.
There was a Thai restaurant attached and the food was very good. There was also a bar with good prices
Room was very old in dire need of renovations. Bathroom small and very shabby
Booking in easy, staff management were friendly the room was clean nice and comfortable, restaurant at the motel had great food not a thing to complain about I’ll be back again on the next working trip the only place to stay.
Everything thing was great no complaints.
Property was clean and comfortable with nice staff.
For those with mobility issues, note that there is:1. No level entry 2. Gravel carpark both which make it extremely hard to push a walker around & left me exhausted.
Nothing much actually, just a bed to stay overnight.
no nearby food store, mcdonald was 15 minutes walk, restaurant on site was closed. location wise not so convenient if coming via train as there's divider between train line and the road towards the motel, had a long-ish 10 minutes walk from train station.
The colonial motor inn is run very professionally it was a pleasure to stay there highly recommended stop over location, the Scone pool is across the road the CBD is a short walk, the motel has a great Thai restaurant great place after along day on a motorcycle
Location good
Put at back beside young group in 3 units who started playing cards about 9.00 pm until I asked them to quite or move which they did.
Room was clean and well equipped. Room had a seperate lounge for me to watch TV etc. Shoer was excellent temperature and pressure.
Unfortunately the tv was not a smart tv so you can watch netflix etc. But not a deal breaker for me.
location fine, that was it
old bathroom, did not like - old shower curtain, bathroom door wouldn't close; bathroom needs update
