Hotel Intourist Palace Batumi

Despite all negative reviews, we decided to stay here for the location purposes, and we weren't disappointed. Beds were comfy, decent breakfast, awesome location (everything is steps away), 2 elevator options, luggage storage before checkin and karnivour resto downstairs offers delicious food. In broad strokes, yes, a bit outdated hotel and might be not deserving a 5 star right now, as many facilities (pool, fitness) are under construction, and the building itself needs a TLC, but we had good two days there because we enjoyed the sea and the weather was kind to us!

Outdated and worn off room, some stuff really needs cosmetic reno..., really didn't like noisy neighbours, and that the staff just entered the room with 1 knock on the door without waiting for our response to change towels upon our request.Breakfast resto is Mediterranean, bunch of olives :)Under right management, this place can be a jewel - hope to see all renovated next time.

Everything in hotel is disgusting. Horrible service, old and unclean rooms with broken windows, no lights, bad breakfast

There was nothing to be liked about, staff was rude and unprofessional saying no to everything.

Everything, nothing was upto the mark no iron,no comfort, no guidance waste of money. Specially the staff no ethics

It’s an old hotel. The lobby and reception area feels a little austere on arrival but don’t be put off. The rooms probably don’t match up to what you get in a swanky modern hotel. So it might not meet everyone’s expectations. But our room had a nice balcony, was spacious, clean and was comfortable. The hotel is in an excellent location. V close to the old town and also to the beach. It’s breakfast, which was included in the price we paid, catered to a lot of different tastes and had plenty of choice. The big bonus was the fact 5hat it has two swimming pools. One inside and one outdoors. It was great.

We were there two nights. Our room wasn’t cleaned or tidied while we were there.

It is the most dirty hotel i have ever seen! No service no clean towels room is dirty

It is old dirty hotel with 0 service DO NOT GO THERE!!! THEY EVEN DO NOT CHANGE TOWELS THEY DO NOT CLEAN TOILETS IN THE ROOM.

In city center

There were no towel in the rooms. After my request they confirmed that towels will be in room when we return to city tour. Unfortunately at 23:30 still towels were missing, I asked again to receptionist, his replay was “there no towels in hotel, I am just a receptionist, it is not my responsibility”. After my continious requests they brought some similar materials but not towels. Even there wasn’t any hand towel in bathroom. Room walls were dirty it seems not painted for a long time.Receptionist was not polite, not smily and not helpful.

the room which hotel stuff showed us was so dirty, it was on the 1st floor, bathroom faccilities were so old and out of exploatation, we asked to change it to another room, once thay showed other room, that one olso was dirty, hotel stuff also were with us and saw this dirty floor and bed, then we called to someone who was service manager and she offered another 3rd version of room, there also was dirty floor and bathroom, there were also mosquitos.Its importent to say that we lose almost 2 hours in these procedures, we were couple and that day we had engagement day, we needed to prepere for this event. so we asked to cancel the booking and return the price to book another hotel, they didnot cancel and also didnot return money to us. we refuse to leave the hotel da search another hotel, there were rot available room in any hotel in the city, so we refuse to go to our engagement party tired and with that clothes wich we whered that hole day from tbilisi to batumi 5 hours drive.please help for returning the amount which i payed for this hotel.

Good breakfast and a nice location

They advertize with public parking nearby, but the truth is that parking in Batumi is a nightmare. It took us almost an hour to find a place.The bed was worn out, and trying to tell the reception they just smile but doesn't care.The staff were not interrested in giving any good service.

It was awful experience

The room smelled damp and musty.There is no water drainage in bathroom, no parking for cars, staffs are disinterested and they didn’t give any information about hotel

Very nice hotel, nice staff, great location. I'll stay there again when I visit Batumi

The hotel is in best location. In front of the boulevard. The room was huge, as well as the bathroom.

The renovation is not very new and there are some stains on the carpets, however the overall it is quite good hotel

We booked for the spa facilities. Once we got there they were under maintenance but we haven’t been told this. Or we would have booked someplace else.

The location is the only real great thing about this Hotel. The room was spacious but then again we booked the suite room.

The rooms are very old and poorly maintained. There is no parking available and limited help available to move the luggages to the room. The front desk did not even have a power adapter to help us with. The breakfast was not great either.

The hotel needs an upgrade. The rooms smell smoky, staff aren’t friendly, and it’s quite run down.

The staff lost my original booking, did not listen to me or my friend and were generally extremely unhelpful. the spa was shut which was one of the main reasons to book.

Amazing location (honestly, probably the best in Batumi) - you are right near the dancing fountains, the beautiful Batumi Boulevard and the seaside, as well as the historic parts of town, restaurants/bars etc. Getting to and from the train station was very easy and took a 10-minute taxi ride.Historic and very unique building (built in 1930s).The provided room was larger and had better facilities than booked - including a huge balcony. Comfy bed, a bathtub and strong WiFi with no issues. Bottled water was provided.Buffet breakfast was honestly pretty good with strong Turkish vibes (I'd add some made-to-order eggs, but it was still satisfying for me).I didn't have the time to enjoy the SPA zone, but it looked good.Very nice and helpful front desk staff, they were willing to help and to quickly resolve any issues + make sure you enjoy your stay.

Housekeeping service - it's laughably bad.First day for no reason I didn't get any service at all, and it was very unpleasant to come back in the evening to the room that was not cleaned.Second day, after I asked front desk, housekeeping did visit the room, but the floors remained dirty, the sheets were not changed, and I was left without any towels. I think the hotel needs to fix this poor housekeeping situation.Note that the hotel rooms do have some wear and tear, but that wasn't really a problem for me - a lamp was originally broken, but quickly fixed after my request to the front desk.Strange policy of not allowing outside food and drink is posted everywhere, which is definitely not common nowadays.

The location, the building and the staff is great.

I specifically stayed there for sauna, sauna was closed 5 days of my 7 day visit. The place could have been a bit more clean and when they make the room they do not change the sheets.
