The road to the hotel

Sand Beach Boutique is the perfect place to spend a week or more in the Paje area. The rooms are very well appointed with plenty of outlets, AC, great shower/water pressure and plenty of storage. The staff ensured they were always clean and the beds were very comfortable.Breakfast had several options each morning, including pancakes, yogurt, cereal, avocado toast (very delicious!) and fresh juice. The facilities were also top notch as the pool was a great area to hang out and spend the day. The beach is a 2 minute walk from the hotel and it was practically empty - perfect for long walks and seashell hunting. Paje is a 5-10 minute drive away with lots of restaurant options. The staff at Sand Beach Boutique were also extremely friendly and helpful, with wonderful service. It is the perfect place to unwind, hang out at the pool, go for walks on the beach (or learn to kite surf!) and enjoy the best that Zanzibar has to offer!

Sand Beach Hotel is fantastic! Just a block from the beach with amazing sea views from the upper terrace. The staff (Shelby , Doris, Rose, Nasra and Teddy) is simply the best — so friendly and helpful. Great for families, with a lovely pool and organized activities. We had a perfect week in August and can’t recommend it enough!

It's a nice place walking distance from the beach The pool is nice. No TV in the rooms but a common TV. Staff is friendly.

Bit difficult to find the location

Very clean and cozy rooms, extremely friendly staff (kudos to Chaby), beautiful pool and garden, good food and help to arrange tours

Bwejuu beach is not the best for swimming (though very flat, some seaweeds) but peaceful and empty. The property is 2 minutes walking from the beach, but not beachfront.

Staff was fantastic, the pool was lovely and breakfasts were wonderful. The size of the rooms were large and there was a little table and chairs on the veranda to to eat. Great hot showers

The menus were fine, but many things on the menu were not available There were at least 5 cakes on the menu but they never had any. I had to ask for hand towels and a blanket. There were no tissues in the room and the top sheet was removed daily and placed on the bed folded to look like a flower so I had to make the bed every night. And the bed was extra extra firm. That being said it was a great value and the staff went out of the way to make things right.

I really liked the location and I enjoyed talking with the staff. Everyone is very friendly and warm and they were willing to accomodate certain requests my family had. The place is small compared to big resorts and it makes it easier to meet new poeple. While dining there, I loved that everything was fresh and natural. The juice and food was fresh, you could taste it and going to the markets for sourvenirs was also good. The majority of the clothes we found at the market were made from majority cotton to 100% cotton. I suggest going to Paje village, it's the place with the more hip restaurants and markets.

As much as I enjoyed my stay, I do wish that there were more breakfast options. Some days, they didn't have certain ingredients and that limited the kind of breakfast you could eat. When it comes to the interior, there is already an aircon in the bedroom which is perfect. However, it would be nice to have an additional aircon in the living area as well. Another thing is that the pool area had daybeds but there was umbrellas - the place felt too exposed to the sun during the afternoon. Finally, this might be random, but showering could be a better if the water pressure increased.

It’s a bit difficult to get around, you need a taxi to go to places from there, but if you just want to chill it’s great!!

The location was a perfect place to be at we had all the fecelities in house, the staff was great especially Qassim and Mohammed they were very willing in everything, very huge room so clean and neat.

Location was a bit far away from Paje but it’s fine for 2 or3 nights.

It has a great swimming pool with the leash green palm trees around, very clean and neat place to be at, the staff were great in everything.The rooms are very clean and a very calm and relaxing place to be at.

Everything is new and clean !The rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable, with very good matress and a king size bed The pool is massive, perfect for both adults and kids, especially little ones - they have small pool for kids. The sandy yard adds a tropical feel, making it easy to relax and unwind. The restaurant serves delicious local and international dishes. The staff is warm and welcoming, making this a perfect family getaway. Very quite and secured place day & night .

I rented a bike which allowed me to explore the island at my own pace.The restaurant was another highlight, serving delicious food with fresh ingredients. Sitting on the terrace with an ocean view while enjoying a meal was a wonderful experience.And of course, the beach is just a few steps away, making it easy to take a morning walk or simply enjoy the breathtaking scenery.This was exactly the kind of peaceful escape I was looking for. The staff was incredibly warm and attentive, always ensuring that everything was perfect.I stayed in a Deluxe Suite, which was spacious, beautifully decorated, and spotless. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the pool area was a great place to relax after a day of exploring.The restaurant was outstanding, serving delicious food on a terrace with a breathtaking ocean view. Every meal felt like a special experience.One of the highlights of my stay was how easy it was to explore the island. The hotel arranged everything for me, from bicycle and scooter rentals to some of the best excursions in Zanzibar, including Mnemba Island and Jozani Forest. The staff took care of every detail, making sure I had the best experiences without any hassle.And the beach? Just two steps away, and absolutely stunning! Crystal-clear waters and soft sand made it the perfect escape. I also treated myself to a wonderful massage, which was the perfect way to unwind.Overall, my stay was flawless, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!
