Not directly accessible to the beach though they provide a free ride to it.

The hotel is really well curated and has great facilities. The food is really good, and the staff are really attentive too.

Our stay was unfortunately far from the peaceful experience we expected. The hotel is situated between a busy main road and a major construction site where a new villa is under development.After a late 1:00 AM arrival, we were woken up the next morning by intense vibrations—the construction next door was digging what appeared to be a pool, and the machinery was so heavy it actually shook our bed. While the hotel eventually moved us to another room, the noise persisted in the distance, and our new room was positioned right next to the busy road, which brought its own noise issues.

The staff were the best. The rooms were very spacious, a beautiful outdoor shower and a backside patio where you can relax and enjoy the weather. The hotel is very close to the beach. The breakfast and onsite restaurant were top notch.

Rooms were cleaned every day, and the staff is always ready to assist in any way needed. I felt very safe because I was in good hands. Also, I booked all my activities with Abdul, and He did a great job arranging everything I wanted to do.

The only thing thing that I wish is that they serve alcohol. However, there is a liquor store across the street. So I just brought the mockcocktails from the hotel and pour my own alcohol in it.

The property had gracious welcoming staff. The rooftop restaurant had excellent food and was very convenient.

The hotel itself is truly luxurious, with beautifully designed rooms, spacious layouts, and good service. The staff are amazing, friendly, professional, and always ready to assist with anything you need. Their hospitality really made the stay special.

There is one major issue that affected the overall comfort of the experience. The normal rooms and suites (not the apartments) only have outdoor showers. While I understand that this might be intended as part of the “nature experience,” it is not practical or comfortable. The showers often attract insects, and it is very unpleasant to have insects and even spiders crawling in while showering.Given how large the rooms are, it would make much more sense for the hotel to provide both an indoor and outdoor shower option, so guests can choose. For a property of this level, guests should not feel uncomfortable during such a basic part of the stay.

Our stay at Samawa Living was exceptional. The hotel is modern, beautifully designed, and eco-friendly, with spacious, comfortable rooms and a stunning pool. The location is ideal—just a short walk from Paje Beach, with a convenient buggy service. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the breakfast was excellent, fresh, and delicious. Whether for relaxation or adventure, this hotel offers a perfect Zanzibar experience. We would gladly return!

Beautiful oasis. Delightful friendly staff. Gorgeous pool. Lovely roof deck restaurant. Chilled & relaxed vibes. Great yoga room and fantastic instructor. Close to beach but away from beach chaos. 6 min walk to the beach, even quicker buggy ride. Easy 10-15 min walk into town.

A bit more availability of drinking water in the rooms would have been nice.

Everything from the staff to the food to the room. The food is definitely the best I’ve had in Zanzibar, and the facilities are one of the best, there is nothing negative I can say about the food or the rooms or the staff.Mushraf was exceptionally helpful to us as soon as we arrived till the time of departure.

We stayed in the 2-bedroom apartment and the master bedroom didn't have an en-suite bathroom. The bathroom is basically facing the kitchen & some parts of the living room. When asked to change the room, they told us that the layout of all two-bedroom apartments is the same. On top of that, All Bathrooms have frosted glass doors, which are a bit see-through if you get closer to the door. No privacy if you are traveling with your sibling. Imagine traveling with friends that would be awkward.The check-in was a bit slow given that it's a small hotel. It also took them long to provide me with an iron & an ironing board

View from the balcony, although cannot be controlled by them but with construction happening right next door, the sounds could get loud. Also kept the curtains closed for privacy.Would’ve loved more options with food.

The stuff needs more to learn about house keeping ! And between all the hotels samawa is not charging with daily global rating of $ !! According to them they have fixed price

I stayed at Samawa for just one night, but it was a great experience! The team was super helpful and arranged an airport transfer for me, which made everything smooth and stress-free. A special thank you to Israel, who was really kind and welcoming.I truly wish I had more time to enjoy the place—I’d definitely love to stay here longer in the future!
