Comfort Hotel Nara

The hotel was close to train station and buses which made for easy sight seeing trips - information provided was very good and the staff helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there

My wife was not listed on our booking - not sure why? It was easily fixed.

The breakfast was terrific. The location is excellent. The room is spotless and tidy.

Soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by warm smiles from all the staff. Although we could not check in before 2:00 the staff kindly allowed us to use the canteen area. Coffee, tea, and amenities are free and we could charge our phones. Their brochures and City Guides in several languages at the lobby and it gives you just enough time to get your bearings before you head out to visit Nara. Rooms for impeccably clean, large, comfortable there's absolutely nothing more that I could say and I would definitely come back to this hotel. PS : my back was hurting so I asked for another pillow which I thought would be impossible and the staff at the reception smiled and said of course !

A lovely breakfast with lots of variety and options. The location was fantastic, so close to the train and bus stations. The staff were friendly and super helpful.

The breakfast was excellent with a mixture of of Japanese and western foods. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was great. The room was small but had everything necessary.

The pillows were not the greatest and they did give us an extra set which helped but the second set wasn’t much better.Couldn’t control the temperature of the room. Fortunately it was not that hot .

Close to JR station, the breakfast exceeded our expectations, very nice staff

Comfort Hotel Nara is just few blocks from JR Nara Station. Room is a little bit small, but big enough for business trip alone. I enjoyed the breakfast they provided. The dinning place provides free drink at night so that you can do a little bit reading or working. I stayed there for two consecutive nights, and hotel provided fresh towels without asking.

The hotel is very near to the Nara JR station, and they serve really sumptuous breakfast buffet which is included in the room price. There is also a free flow of drinks throughout the day, and the staff are all very friendly.

The bed is very small and the room is a bit stuffy, but it is fine for one night.

The staff were so welcoming Everytime we came back or left the hotel, breakfast was amazing too. Rooms were clean and homey, great value for money for the size. Nice location close to the train station, would recommend and stay again in the future.

Comfortable hotel close to railway station and easy walk to Nara Park and main part of the city. Generous breakfast included in the tariff. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Spacious rooms by Japanese standards. Unfortunately there was a lot of traffic noise from the street each night we stayed so would probably find an alternative in the future.

Close to stations/central attractions/restaurants, friendly staff, easy check-in/out

Horrible room lighting, barely able to put a suitcase flat on floor, terrible pillow, and breakfast was mediocre (despite reviews saying otherwise) eg fruit like pineapple and mango was frozen and defrosting on buffet, pastries clearly old/frozen,

The hotel is in a convenient location close to Nara station and a Lawson and 7-Eleven (within 5 - 8 minutes walk) and nearby attractions in the Kintetsu-Nara area like Higashimuki Shopping Street etc (approx 15 minute walk).Staff were friendly and helpful, storing our luggage before check in and after check out. Hotel offers good value for money considering closeness to Nara station, price includes a varied simple breakfast and a comfortable, quiet room. We also liked the communal area as a place to spend time outside of your room.

A thing to consider: we stayed in the twin room and it was a tight squeeze with our 2 large suitcases when opened out.

Great hotel right by the train station. The room is small, but has everything you need, and the breakfast buffet in the morning is good (great variety of Japanese breakfast foods). The welcome drink & tea / coffee in the lobby is a nice touch. Would stay here again.

Breakfast was good. Location convenient for getting around Nara. Price was very reasonable.

The room was very comfortable, large and practical. Good for one or two night in Nara center. The breakfast is very good. Inconvenient : it is quite far away from Nara Park and all the temples you want to visit, count at least 25 minutes to reach the first temples, 10 from the big market street, but only 3 from the JR station.

Very well located, short walk from the station and close to restaurants and attractions.

Free breakfast was really good. Staff were nice and supportive all the way through. The hotel is located within a 15-minute walk to Nara Park.

Bed too small

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in two rooms, and both were clean and comfy. There is a microwave on the first floor and washing machines and dryers you can use for coins on the 5th floor. The best was the breakfast, it was delicious and nutritious. I took full advantage of it, I stuffed myself with food every morning and then went to tour the temples in the mountains near Nara, some of which require a lot of energy to walk around.
