Bakery Hotel Chateau D'or

The room was small, but very clean. Breakfast was amazing and staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was extremely convenient ? short walk to train station, shopping, temples, and Nara Park.

The location is near the Kintetsu Nara, and across the street is the shopping street. So eating and shopping are not a problem at all. The distance to popular spots is near too! And, I love the breakfast included by the hotel!!!

Overall a great stay as I basically slept one night, got breakfast that was amazing and left. In a great place, walkable to Nara Park which is my main goal of visiting Nara.

There are some black dots on the shower curtain as well as on the comforter cover so I'm a bit worried about the cleanliness.

Really close to Kintetsu station

No segregation of trash. We just put the paper and plastic in the bin together.

The place is only a few minutes walk from the Kintetsu station and two bus stops away from the JR station. Staff are great hosts. The bonus is a courtesy breakfast.

Would have liked some more space in the bathroom.

The beat location for exploring Nara, just by the train station and right next to all of the surrounding attractions. Breakfast was a nice addition too.

The concept of a simple, cute hotel with a simple but delicious breakfast included. Location is incredible, right on a cute street with several interesting stores and close to the big temples. Loved it!

The location (close to a Church, JR Station, shopping area, etc) and the muted elegance of the restaurant/receiving area. The staff are also very kind.

The bed has a squeaky sound when occupants move. The bunker bed stairs are difficult to use and seems unsafe.

Location: The location of the hotel is great, being situated just a 2-min walk north of Kintetsu-Nara Station. It's located in the northern part of the Higashimuki Shopping Street, with tons of cute cafés, local restaurants, traditional arts & crafts shops, and bookstores surrounding it. Due to this location it's of course also very close to the entire Nara Park complex, including Kasuga-taisha and Todai-ji, as well as a few museums.Still, even with this central location, it felt very quiet and definitely less crowded than the portion of Higashimuki Shopping Street that's south of Kintetsu-Nara Station.Room: The room was very neat and clean. The refrigerator is sufficient and the bathroom is very nice, providing you with all the necessary essentials. The bed was comfortable and I honestly fell asleep on it for the entire afternoon, as soon as we arrived at the hotel room.Breakfast: As for the included breakfast, you get a breakfast coupon for the morning, with hotel staff also asking you about your preferred time for breakfast. When you go downstairs to the café portion of the lobby, you simply hand over your breakfast coupon and in return receive your choice of breakfast set, which allows you to change a few variables such as what topping to enjoy on your thick toasted bread or what drink you'd like. The breakfast set was fairly minimal, but still good and filling.The Bakery Hotel also has two other Chateau D'or locations, which are solely café/bakeries. We went to eat at one of their locations for lunch and enjoyed their pizza lunch deal, which was pretty good. We didn't personally try the baked goods at the two bakery locations, but they looked and smelled fantastic each time we walked past them.

The hotel is in a very central location and had some nice amenities like a pleasant breakfast and laundry.

I found the bed very uncomfortable and not get great sleep, but maybe that’s just me!

I wish there were charging stations for phones and tablets near the bed. However, this is a minor thing.
