APA Hotel Kintetsu-Nara Ekimae

We went in November and the air-condition could only be set to either fan or heat. It was super hot at night and we had tl open the window for cool air. They couldn’t do anything to change the mode of the AC. Consider this if you’re planing to stay here during the winter.

Clean and modern. Easy access to station, shopping district and nara park. Very nice staff

The location was great, close to both main stations and all the sightseeing spots.

They don’t have big bath like other APA hotels usually do, only tiny one in the room. This was kind of disappointing.

Great location, easy to get to the Kintetsu-Nara station even with bulky luggage. It's close enough to the park and nearby attractions, and if you don't fancy going out, there are a lot of convenience stores along the way. I loved the persimmon/ apple juice vendor right in front of the hotel entrance. Rooms are spacious enough, and it's an APA so their rooms kind of look all the same.

Did not have any meals. Location fabulous.

Bed very uncomfortable. Dislike having to crawl over my spouse to use the bathroom at night. Would be marvellous if the foot of the bed faced into the open space in the room so I could crawl out of bottom of the bed instead.

Rooms still small compared to U.S

It's an APA hotel — you know what you're getting. The room isn't spacious but it's perfect for a solo traveler. The hotel is always in a convenient location to public transit. There's laundry in the building. The staff are always very helpful and patient.

The location was perfect for me. The staff is very kind. It's a great cost benefit.

We enjoyed the breakfast, we also like the location close to the train station and not far from all the attractions.

Wishing we could stay longer

Good hotel in a good location , 10 min walk from the train station and 10 min walk from the nara park ? Good apa hotel but exceptional in a very good way , we took breakfast as well and I must say ! The breakfast was amazing! As we understood later it's a restaurant and it will be your best choice! ? it was my first time I was sad to leave the hotel I was in not because of the location of it ! This restaurant is gorgeous! Definitely will pick this hotel again ! And next time with evening meal!

The location of this hotel was nearly perfect between the Kintetsu-Nara station and Nara Station, on a bustling street in the center of Nara. Like the other APA hotel we used in Tokyo, the rooms were comfortable, the staff were so very nice and helpful, and the breakfast amazing. APA have earned our respect and will be our first choice the next time we come to Japan! Oh and there was a daibutsu ichigo stand right across the street!

There were slightly fewer amenities (Tokyo had an amenities bar in the lobby with teas and lotions, etc) at this location than the Tokyo one, but this was a minor defect. There was nothing we disliked here.

I enjoyed my stay at APA Hotel Kintetsu Nara Ekimae. The hotel location is good, the personnel are polite, and all the amenities have been provided. Price/Quality ratio met my expectations.I marked comfort level as good due to the fact the room is a standard small one suitable for 1 or 2 travelers. Nice choice for those who want to save some money and have a pleasant stay in Nara.Breakfast and welcome drink were excellent!

Location was amazing

Room way too small even for Japanese standards.Pillows and bed was absolutely terrible. Woke up with terrible neck pain and headache both days.

staff, equipment and convenience etc. was very goods. But hotel location is not front of station. I am walking too much, After long trip from Nikkou city of Tochigi -pref. it's long distance. and Taking much time, so, I 'm tired out for walking. So, I choose this hotel "front of station". don't tell a lie !!!!!! I have to select more near Hotel. Should be! Advertisement is always Honestly. Got it ?

The hotel is situated close to the Nara park and since its a major tourist place, there are a lot of people even right in front of the hotel, especially after 9 am. The place of this hotel is good for traveling and discovering the beauty of Nara and/or the close by cities like Osaka and Kyoto. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room is a bit smaller but enough for one person, although the lighting can be bad, especially If your window is facing the wall of the building next the hotel, like mine was, thanks to which there is close to none of natural lighting. Amenities were provided Daily. Overall I was satisfied with the service and can recommend it If you plan on staying in Nara for couple of nights.

Location was fabulous. Positioned right on the main street and a short walk to the Temple, shrines and pagoda.
