Henn na Hotel Premier Nara

Clean and well-situated hotel, very close to the Kintetsu train station. Room had two large twin beds, bathroom with high-tech toilet and nice shower with plenty of hot water. Nights were quite, I slept well - jet lag (and occasionally some crazy bikers revving up their engines at night time) notwithstanding. Very reasonable priced vending machines for water and other goodies are available on the ground floor, and an automated system to store your luggage upon check-out is a real plus.

The whole thing is automated - at the reception you're welcome by a... velociraptor! On display behind the desk - and very stubborn. No check in before the official hour (15:00) is possible - they MIGHT let you do the formalities at anytime, but activate the card keys only at 15:00 to allow room access - but no! At 14:55, the reception hall is overcrowded with waiting tourists, only 3 check-in terminals... with mine, of course, bound to crash! The one and only staff member was a bit overwhelmed! Also, luggage storage is fine - but user instructions are only in Japanese (luckily, that time staff responded quickly and showed me how to do it). They serve breakfast - but it's a very limited choice: 3 types of toast, omelette, some ham, plain rice, some juice and coffee, some fruit.

Great location, very close to Kintetsu Nara station. Clean and very comfortable. The room is spacious.

Something was wrong with the toilet one night during our stay, which was a bit strange to me. It was eventually fixed by the staff though.

The room was so spacious for 4 of us, and beds were very comfortable. We loved the fact that we had the light controls and outlets to charge our phones, etc. The hotel was only a few minutes away from the station. It was a great deal!

Wish there were a freezer space in the fridge to freeze some bottles of water

The breakfast buffet is worth paying for. It's mostly Western style but does have salad, ochazuke, rice, etc. The location is top-notch, just around the corner from Kintetsu-Nara Station and accessible to so many great shops & sights. Nara Park is within walking distance. There is a vending machine in the lobby, as well as a small library with manga that you can check out. You can store your luggage in the provided lockers prior to check-in.

Lived the novelty of the self check in with a dinosaur concierge. The location was perfect for a nights stay in Nara with the park close and a small downtown area with cute coffee shops, restaurants, and shopping. Good and budget friendly stay.

Some stains on the carpet but overall still quite clean.

Loved the location and its closeness to Nara park and restaurants in the area. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the amenities were great!

It was nice and clean. The check in checkout was done without interaction with people great location right next to the shopping strip and train station to Osaka

Walking distance from the train stations and tourist attractions! Recommended experience for first timers using the automated check in and check out ?

Good size room and very clean. Bed was super comfy for me, and charging stations on both sides of the bed. The lights were also controllable from the bed with knobs and switches. The shower was a bit small, but had very nice pressure. It also has a café right at the entrance of the building. Self check-in and check-out was very easy. It was cool to see the dinosaur and samurai. There were free amenities before you go up as well as Manga that you could take to your room. A vending machine is on the same floor right after the elevators.It's located pretty close to Nara park, maybe a 5-7 minute walk. On the way, there are quite a few places to eat.

I hit my knee on the sink as it's partially in the shower? The bathtub is also very tall (probably why I hit my knee)

Pillow is hard to sleep on. Room cleaning crew didn’t do their job. They left someone used mug which has coffee stain on it in my stay room. Not only one but two, so I got 4 mugs in my room!?

Luggage storage was super handy and easy to use on the day we arrived. The check is is smooth (the dinosaur certainly speaks better English that staff of all the hotels we visited ;) ) and the rooms bigger than other hotels. Location is also great - just next to the station.

We couldn't forward our luggage - the dinosaur couldn't help and the staff told us they don't do prepaid service (and our next hotel didn't do the post paid)

Staff was great, very helpful and responsive. Great location as it’s near a station making it convenient to access Nara park, Osaka and Kyoto.

Great location close to Nara Kinetsu station. Very clean with good breakfast options. Also close to good restaurants and bars. Perfect for short stay in Nara.
