House Sangkuriang

Breakfast was quite good and the room service was excellent. My parents (88 and 82 y.o) were happy with the food and the portion. The hospitality of the hotel staff was great.

Unfortunately, the quality of the hotel facilities went downhill compared with when we stayed in 2018. We booked three rooms (for me and my husband, our kids and my parents). In my parents' bathroom, the shower tap was not working and there was a leak from the washbasin. The aircon in our kids' bedroom was not working. The bedsheet, the pillowcase and the curtain in our bedroom were dirty as if they hadn't been changed before we checked-in. There was also bad smell coming out of the drain.

Only the location close to restaurants and many other aminities.

The room was very loud because motorbike and traffic noise came from right outside. Many of the facilities were old. The air conditioner was noisy when it turned on, and the water in the washbasin was leaking, so a lot of water was wasted..

The location is strategic, it is close to the city, but also not too crowded. A lot of restaurants nearby. It's only 10 minutes on bike to the place I work for my 4D3N stay. The room is unexpectedly spacious and could host more than 4 people if I want to. The breakfast is nice, but it would do better with more variety. The staffs are friendly, and the pool is nice. They have trees around the hotel, to be honest, there is no need for an Air Conditioner because the trees and the location is cold.

I'm not sure if it's my problem (the cleanliness of my body since I worked until 1 am for 2 nights so I didn't shower before I go to bed) or it's the bedsheet that isn't clean enough, but I have my back itchy and red. The bathroom will be better with an exhaust, and the hairdryer turned off by itself after a few minutes I used it—only to turn back on after a few minutes I left it "recharge".

Rooms are well furnished, cozy.

Love the classic style of the hotel, the room is bigger than most and it is also clean. The breakfast is yummy, i think the chef is improving, the staff is friendly and helpful, and it is located at the heart of the city.

I think they needs to fix the AC. It takes a long time to cool the room, and when it does, the temp is not too cold.

We checked in & were given a room that we had not booked. We asked to be moved, which was accommodated. However, new room allocated was directly under their kitchen/restaurant area which is being renovated. So we were met with drilling and hammering directly under our room. LOUD. Moved again to another room. Two of the nights we stayed, they had big groups in their restaurant area in the evening. One of those nights with a very loud speaker system. Not what we expect booking into a hotel for a relaxing holiday. There was a letter in the room upon arrival apologizing for building works. However, as a courtesy we should have been informed when making the booking. This would have given us the opportunity to decide prior to arriving if this was acceptable for us. Breakfast was predominantly Indonesian food. It would have been nice to have more western options. Tried to book a tour, but staff did not get back to us. A beautiful hotel that unfortunately was a disappointing stay.

The hotel's location is excellent, situated right next to popular tourist attractions, a variety of delightful restaurants and charming cafes, as well as some fantastic clothing stores. It's the perfect spot for anyone looking to explore Bandung with ease and convenience

nasi goreng jagung, opor ayam, ketam hitam, scrambled eggs, tea and coffe and cereal... thats its damn good

The location is good. Near dago street, where many restaurants and shops we can visit. This hotel also have space room that you can rest and relax.

I don't have complain. I think the price is the same with the quality

I choose this hotel because of the architecture. The old city is full of 20’s-40’s architecture so I wanted to stay in a period hotel. Externally the facade and foyer are amazing, the period design stops in the rooms which are very comfortable and value for money. There are other similar period hotels but at a higher cost. We were upgraded to a room on the 4th floor with a balcony looking into the trees. The traffic noise was evident but not enough to disturb our sleep and the bed was so comfortable. To travel to the old city takes approx 20mins but that definitely depends on traffic which can add 45mins during peak hour.

The pool area, is not the sort of area you would lie around. No sun lounges. The breakfast is all Indonesian except for the toast. But when in Bundung enjoy the beautiful local food.

I got the best room ever! It was spacious, the AC was cold, the hot water was running smoothly, & the garden was BEAUTIFUL. The staff were very kind, polite, and dedicated event though they were so busy! I always stay at House Sangkuriang hotel whenever I travel to Bandung, & booking Siliwangi Room was the best decision ❤️

Staff were all very friendly, great central location.

Management did not read our booking notes. Plus, we had a terrible night sleep due to being placed into a room with an adjoining room (shared locked door) with loud guests. The thin walls and door meant we got 2 hours sleep max: Crying baby, loud TV, loud wakeup alarms. What's more, the hotel could do with replenishing their linen.

1. Accessibility. -Dago simpang is one of the best location to stay. If you are introvert like me, but still wanting to feel 'old bandung vibes'. THIS, IS THE BEST PLACE TO STAY.2. Price. -Much a like GREAT FOR THE MONEY VALUE. GREAT JOB.

1. Small areas -because it's a 'house'. 2. Have not try the gym, idk if there's any inside tho. Lol.3. Can you please make your breakfast buffet next time?. It was not bad. But the curry chicken taste a bit bland for me. The options were varied, but seems less having "a kick" for the flavor.4. Parking area for motorcycle limited on the basement (support point 1)
