We needed to meet family at the docks. It was really easy to get there. It's off a very busy road but rooms (we had two), were quiet since they are located behind the main entrance. The pool/hot tub area looked neat and clean. Super friendly !

This hotel is not maintained well. The elevator was broken so had to take the stairs to the 3rd floor. As an extended stay with a kitchen they had no utensils, The ?free breakfast? is instant oatmeal which was disingenuous advertising.

Run down, poor maintenance both in and out. Stains and cigarette burns on carpet. Paint peeling off front door of room. Grounds dirty dog poop everywhere.

Hot tub and pool did not work, bathroom door didn't shut, bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, and the second tv didn't even work.

Second time I¿ve stayed This family owns Martel because it¿s so close to Newport Beach. The room is mostly renovated and quiet at night, shower pressure strong water is hot, there is an ice machine outback, grocery store is literally behind the property

The hotel room was clean, check in was easy. Cafe / pub breakfast was delightful. Music at the pub was perfect. Courtyard was well kept.

The quality of the hotel meets the expectations. WE stay here as often as we can when visiting the area. It is our favorite place in Lake Forest. Breakfast is always a real benefit.
