Grand Hotel Preanger, Bandung, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Historical hotel very nicely restored; room, including bathroom, was lovely; Very strong internet; good map for Art Deco in Bandung (because of the Art Deco connection, I chose this hotel); extensive breakfast buffet.

I was in an original historical room - which I wanted - but as a warning it was an ajoining room so I could hear the kids next door and there was a bit of noise from the street. That said, I would request a historical room if I was too stay there again.

Location

The room was terribly dirty from bedroom to shower. And bedding. I have been here before (dirty) but this time very very dirty.1. 11 stains on duvet cover.2. AC VENT was full of black grime and dust on the vent.3. Rug on floor was not vacummed.4. Shower floor, glass sliding door full on calcuim, hair and grime. And mildew all over walls.I wrote a handwritten letter to owner and management about my observations and complaints. They do not care. No applogie and reply.My conclusion is that the rooms are full of insects, dead skin, hair on floor, endelss stains on sheets. Sheets are all gray. And the AC is probably the one item that would make you very sick- black grime and dust on outside vent probably packed with bacteria etc...The owner and management have no sense of responsibility or sense of urgency to provide rooms that are sanitary, and clean.This is unacceptable.

The ambience n environment very cool,near to braga street n other street food,nice place to stay if you are a food hunter. Staff named sugeng been very helpfull while our stay in this place.

Staff were pleasant and helpful.One in particular, Sugeng, was most helpful.

It’s a beautiful historic Building, it’s centrally located and close to Braga.Friendly staff.

It’s sad to see the inside of the rooms, poor paint job. It needs a good cleaning and fixing!!So it looks to its former Glory!!The mattress is not comfortable too!!

Lack of cleanliness, horrible moldy bathroom, run-down furniture, sound of some motors during the whole night.

The location is excellent, staff is so helpful and lovely. Only the condition very old need to upgrade.

Near to everything

Position is central close to jl. Braga food area

1. WiFi kept disconnecting, reception staff had no solution and basically not interested. Bathroom moldy and black grout, things worn in the room generally,2. Limited breakfast options for Europeans. UsualCornflakes etc. did have some watery Joghurt in a bottle. 3. Tank coffee, always awful in any hotel.

Good location

Breakfast was okay, but turnover of restaurant staff is incredible and except for the manager staff doesn't seem to have pleasure in their job. Visited this hotel every few months or so over last few years and there's new staff every time.

Location is closed to Braga street and located on historical street (Asia Afrika).

Room was very run down and towels provided were worn out. Breakfast was not too bad but the staff managing egg station on 26APR was not coping well and there was a big queue so decided not to wait after 10 minutes. There was no instant coffee Nescafe available at breakfast.

Bed linen and sofa in the room were not the cleanest.

The hotel located near the asia africa and braga street, i can reach the areas for 3-5 minutes by foot. It is good to have mini mart Indomaret in the hotel, although the items are a bit pricey but still ok. Staff was excellence, two thumbs up, keep up the good work.

Old hotel and quiet spooky in some area. Cafe area was full of smoke from the people smoking in the cafe. Room need more carefull inspection for cleanliness before front desk give the key to the guest, i found some plastic from bottled drink in the drawer when i entered the room for the 1st time. The room is old, the air conditioner in the room is very old and very cold, TV is also old and not provide much channels. Internet was very slow, the speed was 4-5 mbps. Breakfast was just ok, nothing special, some food served cold (should served warm), there's no cutlery on the table, you need to pick up the cutlery at the food stall.

the room and bathroom were not well maintained, old and musty. the WIFI is slow, the connection dropped out regularly and I have to log in again every time. the staff does not speak English well.

CS / reservation staff has told untrue information, she said driver room is private but infact the room was for 6 person, so we had to find room at another hotel for our driver.
