Pros +
- it is as expected , location is excellent and the building is historic and beautiful
- EVERY SINGLE BIT OF IT!!Mainly staff (reception , guest relations , bellmen , resturant , Room service ,housekeeping) Very professional, very friendly , smily all the time , very helpful. They made up our whole trip to Egypt(INDEED!) ????It is up-to standards , very clean and neat , food is great and we loved the elevator experience ??Please keep the same spirit and vibes?
- Clean Sea view Very good house keepers Food tasty Staff kind and respectful
Cons -
- noise level was a little high in my room
- No parking No pool
- The rooms are provided with soundproofing windows, but I wish they were of higher quality because the noise reduction was not up to my standard. There should be something worked out with the parking lot next to hotel because paying 245 EGP to park my car overnight should be included in my stay. Finally, the room only had Egyptian style outlets (the circle ones), not American/Egyptian ones. I am very surprised that the rooms still have this old style plug outlet, however the staff immediately provided me with adapters when I asked for one.

As a local Alexandrian, I have been dying to stay in a historic hotel in my home city. For my wife’s birthday, we decided to spend the night at Cecil. Overall, everything at the hotel was a 10/10: The rooms are clean and spacious, the staff are friendly and professional, and most important of all the view and location is phenomenal. Staying here makes you fall in love with Alexandria all over again.

What I liked most about the property was its excellent location, high level of cleanliness, and the refined and professional treatment from all the hotel staff — whether at the reception, security, room service, or housekeeping. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and would like to sincerely thank to Jermeen and Haneen for their kindness and outstanding service.
What I didn’t like was that there was a connecting door between my room and the neighboring rooms, which affected my sense of privacy. I could hear conversations from the other rooms, and they could likely hear me as well when I spoke.
The hotel is centrally located and offers magnificent views of the Corniche and the Citadel. I loved everything about the hotel and the room i stayed in.. comfortable and soundproof. The welcome treats were a lovely touch.
The staff are amazing, from the welcoming , Reception, housekeeping to the restaurant. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The Breakfast is great and the service excellent.
No parking and no private beach.
Our stay at Cecil Hotel was a truly classic and memorable experience. The hotel carries a timeless charm that makes you feel as if you’re living in a beautiful chapter of history. What made the stay even more special was the staff’s attention to detail. Once they learned that it was my wife’s birthday, they surprised us with a complimentary cake — a thoughtful gesture that meant a lot to us.The staff were incredibly kind, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. Their hospitality felt warm and genuine, like stepping back into the elegance of an old, golden era.A wonderful experience overall. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates history, character, and outstanding service.
Nothing , all were exceptional
Location, cleanliness, staff were really helpful
Historical vibe, Location, Cleanliness, and amazing staff
My 5th stay and everything is great .. location , food , staff , rooms , value for money
The location is mind blowing and the staff are very friendly and professional, the sea view is great and the facilities are amazing The classic ambiance is something else, you can fell the royalty and every corner
The theme of the Hotel, location is brilliant, and staff are very friendly from check in till check out. It was an amazing experience
Not the property itself, but the noise for the road was a bit annoying if you open the window to enjoy the sea view
Amazing staff, amazing location, super clean properly maintained
It’s not what I don’t like it’s what I chose as an executive suite. The executive suite I was in overlooked the parking , second floor hence noisy and a side sea view. Not a good sea view if you’re staying at Cecil. Anyway this is what o chose , but definitely this is my favourite stay in Alexandria by far
Location and historical building
Small bathtub and shower head, room could use more detailed attention to cleaning dust
Good location and helpful staff
Breakfast was good but needs to have more varieties and not same food every day
the location and staff is super. breakfast is also good.
The rooms were not sound-proof
Location is perfect, staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffets is nice. The room is specious and clean with a nice sea view.
The operator was not helpful during reservation.
Everything. Breakfast. Monty’s Bar. Historic aspect. Elevator. Balcony room facing the sea
The facility is amazing, it gives you a feeling that you stay in a historical place which you can’t find it easily anywhere & adding to all of that , their stuff was helpful and so friendly during the stay
Just the varieties of the food of the breakfast that needs to be improved & coffee capsules that you can have it at the room is really cheap . Both not matching with the paid value for the accommodation..
