Pros +
- Nothing much. Staff were friendly.
- The room was spacious and had a nice atmosphere. The common areas were clean and inviting and the staff welcoming. There was a TV with a few channels and free internet was available. The main beds were comfortable.
- Great location with lots of really good facilities - cinema, pool, arcade, and shops/gas station very close. Staff were really nice, I would definitely stay again.
Cons -
- Bed was too soft. Room small and drafty. Bathroom was old. During breakfast it was very busy and extremely loud. Too expensive for the comfort provided.
- There was a water boiler and tea/instant coffee, but no cups. There is a bath tub but no way to plug the water.
- The evening buffet is very expensive for the limited options, even by Norway price standards.

Friendly staff, clean hotel, good breakfast restaurent
4th time staying here to go skiing. Its one of our favourite hotels in the world - very child friendly. Could do with shelves in the room though
Superb breakfast buffet. Very nice room. Great sauna and pool. Good bar and games room. An easy 10 min walk to the lift station. Next to spar and a few restaurants. Very good value
Mild road noise through the windows of rooms facing the bypass road.
One night stay, decent rooms. Nice breakfast, staff was friendly
Breakfast was excellent, huge choice of hot & cold food. Plenty of seating areas to eat breakfast. Kids liked the cinema / games area & pool. Sauna was great but not very big
Needed more storage in rooms for clothes, bigger lounge/bar areas for socialising with background music. Separate restaurant area
Just as expected. We had an issue, but the staff fixed it in a jiffy.
A bit worn, room was quite small. As expected though.
Breakfast was great. Good gym facilities
No kettle in the roomRoom was quite cold
The Scandic Hotel provided excellent value for our ski trip to Hafjell. The location couldn't be better, and having plenty of parking took away any stress about our vehicle. The staff's helpfulness enhanced our experience, and the generous breakfast spread ensured we were ready for a day of skiing. The comfortable room and convenient ski storage made our stay truly enjoyable.
The room lacked proper wardrobe.
Nice atmosphere, friendly, good pool and sauna and the breakfast!
Although prices are high in Norway, the bar prices were high end.

Bathrooms has moho in some places.
Easy to get to from Oslo airport. Well located and a 10 minute walk to Hafjell ski resort, there is a shuttle bus if you don’t want to walk. They have a machine at the hotel to print your ski passes which was handy. Good breakfast and you could make up sandwiches for lunch. Dinner options slightly limited if you’re there for longer than a few days but worked with us. Room was small but had everything we needed and was clean. Restaurants and spa supermarket all in walking distance
Scandic always delivers what you expect. Good breakfast especially.
Guests at the hotel should not be charged for (very bad) coffee at the general areas.Hot water was variable - epecially at busy times.
Breakfast was great, staff were good.
The superior room did not have enough storage (one short rail with a shelf above and below). However, it did have a climbing wall and monkey bars…. ?
Overall a nice hotel, close to the slopes, breakfast was fine with lots of food options. Access to the pool hotel and sauna was easy
Although the room was very small, that wasn't the main issue. There were like small details that you shouldn't see in a 4 stars Hotel, like the the carpet was stained, initially we had just 2 big and 2 small towels, although there was 3 of us, including my daughter. They added another one on the first day they cleaned the room. It was our request the room to be cleaned every two days, so that was not a problem, we are fine using towels more then once, but I don't think the cleaning and tidy was every time the best(again we are talking about a 4 stars hotel). One time they just changed our towels, but not tidying up our beds, they haven't checked the hand wash and last day we run out of it so we had to use body wash, which eventually finished as well. As I said before we are not fussy people, but expectations are a bit higher for such a hotel and fares.
Room was spacious clean and warm. Bed comfortable. Excellent breakfast
Was a drive to the ski station TBF. Not a ski in ski out........
Location was great for the bike park. Staff at reception were fantastic and answered any questions we had. Options for breakfast was impressive but….
Breakfast was chaotic - staff worked hard to clean tables etc but just too many people at one time. We tried to eat early and late with no difference.Twin room was much smaller than we expected, certainly based on the photos. Meals were expensive compared to nearby eateries and the beer was 50% more than the restaurant at the end of the car park.
Excellent room sizes in some superior rooms, came with a refrigerator and good amenities for a very reasonable price. A lot of food options for breakfast and the staff are lovely, even have a quiet room in the huge breakfast area which is needed. Fast check in/out, with free cocktail for kids.
Scandic is getting older now and really needs a refresher, barely meets the 4* room quality given the older carpets, bathroom fixtures being quite ‘used’ in a sense and the bathtub should really have been sealed so water doesn’t overflow onto the floor. Didn’t have car chargers which would have been helpful. Was hoping for some interesting summer features (climbing & jumping castle etc) like I saw before COVID for the kids but only saw a play room with a big TV and the cold pool with sauna in the basement.
