Lobby area, spa and bar were all clean and comfortable. Room was new and nice. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Parking was abundant.
Long walk from town, but short drive.
Disappointed
I have stayed at the hotel several times over the years when I have been in Norway, but I must say that I was very disappointed this time. The common rooms were dark. The staff was not particularly friendly. Breakfast was so-so compared to most other hotels we stay at in Norway.
We needed to have a very early check out and the hotel helped prepare a nice take away breakfast bag for our family.
The toilet is so small.
Swimming pool was dirtyLugagge kart is very exhaustiveKids plating room is closed
Breakfast was very delicious. Stuff was nice and location also was near city center.
Small bathroom, but it wasn't a big problem.
we got a room in which there was an unfinished coca cola, photo below... the gentleman at the reception instead of 4 cards because we also bought the Spa gave us only 2 for the room and we were embarrassed because we couldn't open the door I am very disappointed with both the cleanliness and the service
The sofa bed in the family room was not suitable for children over 10years old. Metal frame touched your arms.Kind staffExcellent breakfast as ever in Scandic.Hotel though clean and well located showing its age…Looked outdated 18 ish years ago the last time I visited
I loved the food and breakfast in the hotel. It’s was amazing. Loved the facilities, pool and games room.
Family room was too small for family of four people. Not enough storage in the room as well. Wish it was a bit closer to city centre.
early race day breakfastbuffet dinner the night after the racecleanlinessfriendly stafflocation
Very clean Friendly staff Affordable
Some of the facilities were dated Access isn’t ideal as it’s up a big hill from the town centre
Everything was perfect! Especially the support of the staff in solving some problems that we had with our first room was great. Again, after finding a solution for us, we enjoyed as whole family our stay at Scandic Lillehammer Hotel. I can recommend this hotel especially for families!!
The breakfast and dinner buffet were nice and the staff were thorough and helpful. Close to town and 11 min walk to a stave church.
The front desk staff were not helpful nor friendly. We were never given the details to the WiFi or told where breakfast was when checking in. The room smelled heavily of mould and was not cleaned daily. The room facilitates we’re basic as best with nothing in the room ( mini bar, kettle, cups). The main power would shut off during the night leaving devices not fully charged in the morning.
very large old fashioned hotel with great surroundings and everything you may need, rooms are large enough, it is warm enough, there is well equipped gym, a swimming pool and a sauna, very easy to get to the cross country tracks all around the hotel, close to the city center and the train station, you can walk all around
maybe it needs a bit of update, refurbishment, but most probably it will loose some of its charm
We love the breakfast buffet. The room is clean.
We got 2 double beds, the 2nd bed was a sleeping sofa, was uneven and uncomfortable to sleep on.
The breakfast was excellent.
The hotel is well past its glory days and in need of an overhaul. It’s tired and a bit threadbare. The ski bus that apparently used to leave from the hotel no longer does. You’d have to walk a very long way to catch it. Moreover, walking into town (particularly in winter) is a lot harder than the hotel makes it seem. It’s 180’ in elevation change to the town center. So without a car, it’s not convenient to town, to skiing, or to the Olympic sites.
Breakfast, lounge area and when the fire was on.
I was very wore down and the corridors were not clean. They didn’t have shampoo in the shower by the pool.
