Smarthotel Hammerfest

A modern high tech hotel for Gen Z generation , located at the dock/pier right beside the bay in downtown Hammerfest..The facility is well built, run, maintained by a young crew. Check in and out are automatic without human interaction, however, staffs are standby to help any questions The hotel is in downtown, in walking distances to shopping and entertainment quarters.A breakfast can be reserved in advance .Free coffee and tea in the checkin area.Staff can provide microwave to heat meals. Various snacks are on sale as well.A highly recommended stay in Hammerfest.

Breakfast could have a few more options (e.g. porridge), fruits.Unfortunately, even 30 min before the end of the breakfast, some of the food was not refilled.

No breakfast served over Christmas Only one person stayed day over in the hotel. In our opinion, they were quite unexperienced.No advice about possible activities in Hsmmerfest. Result, we stayed over Christmas only in the room. To be fair, the weather was extremely bad icerain, and very strong wind with up to 9 beaufort, which made the room shaking.No tea maker in the room!There is no pot for boiling water in the kitchen.If this can be changed and staff better trained, the hotel would be very good.

Good central position Clean and tidy

The rooms are SMALL, ok for solo traveler with a backpack, but if you open a regular sized suitcase there is no more going from bathroom to bed. Also the bathroom is veeery tiny The breakfast is ok, but not so much to chose from, also a lot of people come in from the outside so it gets pretty crowded even at 7 am

I was very lucky with the weather - a beautiful sunlit day for a casual walk round the harbour from the ferry to the hotel; what should have taken me 30 minutes took more like 1 hour 30 minutes, there is so much temptation to stand and watch, so much to enjoy. Hammerfest is a lovely town and the people I chatted with were very welcoming. Find the Zig Zag path behind the town - steep and can be slippery in wet weather but the view is amazing - or walk up past the kirke to visit the polar bear, sit there awhile and watch the activity in the harbour and on Melkoya; on the way back down check out the stained glass and organ in the kirke and spend a few hours in the museum. The hotel was very comfortable, clean and I would happily stay again.

My hotel room was classed as a double; in my view it was perfect for one person but would have felt cramped with two. It was the cheapest one so maybe the others are larger.

Very quiet room. Breakfast had many options. Good location.

Parking was difficult. Main road didnt have any signs, thanks to google map we found it.

Nice hotel, a pleasant walk along the waterfront from the bus station. Great breakfast, wifi, and comfy beds.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the description of the hotel on the Booking app is accurate.

The rooms were incredibly small and it was difficult with 2 people. I knew they were small when booking the hotel, but was still a bit surprised by how small. With our luggage, there was basically no room to move. The end of the blinds, when down, are practically on the bed and would bang against the wall loudly if slightly knocked in the night. Also, the blinds did not keep all the light out which made it harder to sleep since we were there when the sun is up almost 24 hours.

Modern and clean property located by the sea. The hotel has no parking, however, there were many possibilities to park the car nearby. The rooms were exceptionally clean, with a nice shower and a very comfy bed. The breakfast is varied, but try to be there on time. There were very few options left for those guests arriving at the restaurant less than half an hour before the closing time.

Really small rooms and no wardrobe. Avoid large luggage when travelling to the Smarthotel. A bit chilly on the bedside beside the window. Other than this, there are plenty of facilities within the property.

Very central location, right at the promenade. Very friendly staff. Efficient self service for check in and check out. Clean room with very good bed.

Breakfast was not at all ready at announced time Sunday morning, despite this being the latest breakfast of the week. Some distance to walk for parking. Open WiFi.
