Very kind staff, both at the reception and the waiter at a restaurant, wide range of products for breakfast (also without lactose or gluten), nice swimming pool, sauna and gym, the room well-equipped with mini-bar, hairdryer, iron, etc, location at the lake, 10 minutes walk from the square, very cosy restaurant with staff aiming to help and advise you.

Good stay at the Scandic again, nice large room, good breakfast options with all kind of food, and then you have the fitness room, can take a nice swim or relax in the sauna.

Pleasant lakeside location with a number of high quality eating places nearby.

A little far from the station for those on foot.

Lovely hotel. Room had balcony overlooking the lake. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We were particularly impressed with the young man in the restaurant (a long term employee he told us) who was so friendly and helpful. Very convenient location for the centre and walks around the lake.

Excellent location close to the lake, good sauna and swimming pool, free bikes to rent, very good breakfast.

I would appreciate better coffee (breakfast), breakfast buffet till 9 am is somehow shoer, especially if you travel from west with different time zone.

This hotel is the best in Kuopio! The hotel is located on the shore of the large Kallanvesi lake and the view is wonderful. In front of the hotel and next to it is the wonderful Väinölänniemi free big park surrounded by water. This park has wonderful natural beaches and the area is the safest area in Kuopio to move around. In this area, women can move in the evening without any risk to them. A wonderful place for hotels and people to be in Finland. Finland's best areas For a hotel in a big modern city in Finland?

Pleasant

Breakfast was not very good, several dishes were already coold and looked like they were not fresh (06:45 in the morning.Was better previous times.

Breakfast was good. Free parking, fine location in Kuopio. Sauna was great.

The hotel did not but cot in the room - we had to ask for it. Only 2 towels in the room, we booked it for 2 adults and 2 children. The pool was cold, and jacuzzi did not work.

Breakfest was great, great choice of food. I like also the way the hotel reduces waste of food. Beside this, the room was comfortable big enough, halls are wide.

Nice pool, very nice and clean room.Table tennis was big plus.Distance from the city center is very short.

Heating in the rooms shold be better during cold days. Sauna is not working in the morning.

The breakfast was good as well as sauna and pool

Our room was not enough clean. The sofa-bed for our daughter was not prepares with the bedsheets; There was an old mattress under our bed which was dirty and full of stains. The receptionist helped us to get rid of the mattress but she was reluctant at first saying they had to space to put it. The cups at the sink also had marks they were not clean.

Nice hotel with large rooms and good shower. It is nicely located close to a lake and it offers a great breakfast buffet. Also it offered a gym, sauna and a pool.

The heating could have worked better in the room.

Very nice location, next to the centre of Kuopio and in front of the lake. Highly confortable and very functional!

- I wish the breakfast would be longer on weekdays (for example til 10am)- They definitely have the best location in town and also an amazing view (if you book a room with lake view) and I also know that everything got expensive but I still think that the rooms are a bit overpriced.

It has an amazing view, you can have nice walks any time! The stuff is super helpful!

I think it’s a relatively old hotel, it’s definitely not super brand new. But this is not a huge downside compared to the good things.
