Vänerport Stadshotell i Mariestad

We loved the location--so close to the train station/bus station. The town is small, so were able to walk everywhere including the botanical gardens. The room was comfortable, and the breakfast at the hotel was delicious! The staff were helpful and friendly.

The hotel does not have air conditioning and though we had fans, the windows did not open for ventilation. This made it rather warm and stuffy. However, we were still able to sleep--just a bit sticky at times.

We appreciated the friendly staff and the awesome breakfast. The room was quiet and the hotel/room was clean and comfortable. This was my third stay at the hotel this year and they never disappoint.

A lot of thing: the location, the image, the rooms, comfort, breakfast (so big variaty of tasty food). And the kind staff helped us a lot.

We liked everything. It a great choice in Mariestad.

The breakfast was the best. Fresh orange juice, omeletes not just eggs, salmon was wonderful. The buffet had just a little more to try without being too many choices. The room had two single beds pushed together. My wife hates that. But, overall, nice sized room 201. We would have had dinner there but the restaurant was closed... winter season I guess. Bed...not a proper double bed. 2 singles pushed together. They always move and create a space for which my wife tends to fall into..

Friendly staff and they also allowed us a very early check-in. Good location within walking distance of all pubs and the train station. Also, Highly recommended for Hikers in Kinnekulle. It was a perfect ending after our hike. The pictures on booking.com are very genuine and the room was the same as in the pictures. I loved how they made the scrambled eggs for breakfast. It was delicious.

The staff was wonderful and tried to accommodate all our needs. The location is terrific and breakfast offered a nice variety. We will definitely be back.

The construction but looking forward to seeing the hotel once it has been completed.

Everything was in accordance to the price, very friendly personnel, great location, diverse breakfast, comfortable bed!

Couldn’t open the window, felt too airless. And please leave it to the client to decide whether she wants to use the same soap for the whole stay (cleaning person took it away every day, so we had to take a new for each day).

Location was good ... but also bad due to the noise from the festival below

Breakfast was very good indeed. Newly renovated and spacious bathroom.

There is a little bit of false marketing here. The beautiful part of the building has been converted to offices and flats.The hotel part is located in a rather ugly wing of the building. If you look at the picture on Booking you think you are going to spend a night in a old classical building. That is not the case.

The room on the third floor was too cold. All the windows did not have blinds and there was an odor in the building.

Breakfast was great and offered a great variety of food for everyone.
