    Pros +

    • Staff was very welcoming and helpful with arranging transportation and helping us navigate the area.
    • location being very central. the staff were very helpful.
    • The location and the restaurant Calicanto service. Mrs Clara was exceptional. Also the service at the front desk by Maximo, Cristal, Brian and Carlos was excellent.

    Cons -

    • Slightly dated rooms.
    • rooms were a bit small.
    • There was a bad smell in the bathrooms, maybe because it is an old building, but I think that you should try any solution to fix that.

The breakfast was great. Had variety and clean and spacious.

Rooms were smaller than shown on pictures. 2 single beds room were better than one bed room. But rooms were clean

    Central location. Good bar.

Basic facilities, dated. Very dangerous windows close to floor and open out completely. Sixth floor. Don’t take toddlers.

    6JoshPosted on: 2-5-2025

The breakfast was ample and the happy hour is amazing, especially the fundador and matilda sours

The location is central but it feels rough. Throughout the night all you hear is people shouting abuse, rubbish trucks moving things, cars honking. The area has seen better days and the hotel has also. If you are someone you likes quiet when sleeping this is not the place for you. Even though the beds were comfy and the rooms ample, it felt dirty and unkempt plus the staff were so unhelpful with everything we asked them it became frustrating. This is not the standard of a hotel that projects itself as 4 stars

Large rooms. Good bathrooms. Breakfast was okay.

Not anything to speak too. All was fine.

    Pleasant

We arrived in the night and there was no water in the room and we only got 2 bottles (0.5 l per bottle) of water for 4 people. Also it was not possible to organize a bottle of wine...

    NOTHING!

Dirty old bathroom- something black in it (ew). The bed is super duper uncomfortable that hurts my back. It is going to be a sleepless night, I have an early flight tomorrow (I’m staying here right now & wanted to leave reviews so other people don’t book this place). The towels are yellowish, soap is cheap, no body lotion, room smells stale, the gym isn’t on premise (walk far, cross the bridge to another building to find it). TV has only 1 or 2 English channels. Surrounding area is sketchy. Ugh…regret I booked this place.

    Good location & friendly staff.

Very basic facilities in the room. Not even a glass to drink water.

Clean with a very friendly staff. A very well managed establishment. It is located in historical downtown area that is very close to many attractions. There is a convenient mini-market at the corner for supplies to bring back to the room. There is a mini fridge in the room

Nothing to do with the hotel itself, the location is a bit run down and in front of the hotel area can get filthy at nighttime but is cleaned up by morning. High praises to Chile in putting a lot of effort in keeping streets and parks clean.

I booked this hotel as a last resort when I had an overnight layover in Santiago. All of the hotels at the airport were booked, and it was late at night. When we arrived, we were very pleased with the hotel and wished we could stay a few more nights. The location was awesome and the room was very comfortable.

This is obviously an older building, but it has been well maintained and updated. So there may be a few creaks in the floors and some of the decor is a little dated, but that's really not a complaint. It was still a cool, hip place to stay.

Great location. Staff were excellent. Breakfast was good as well.

Bathroom wasn’t very clean. At night you could hear everything from outside and from rooms next to mine.

Good location, very friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast, very clean.

    7LucianPosted on: 8-5-2024

Friendly staff and very good bar and restaurant facilities

Apart from a blocked sink in my room property was fine

    1rexPosted on: 7-25-2024

    Only the price

The major issue was that the heat is controlled for the whole building and could not be controlled in room 208. It got to 27.9 Celsius and I had to open the window all night. The window opened on to a flat walkway over the first floor so there was no security. To make matters worse the only bed cover was a heavy duvet and there was no sheet between the bottom sheet and the duvet. When I asked for a sheet they brought me a blanket. There were no glasses in the room. When I went to get a glass no one spoke English. The hot water in the shower is intermittent and the plumbing rattled and gurgled for one to two minutes after using the toilet. Lastly I tried to cancel the five days on day two but there is no manager on the weekend. This is probably the worst hotel I have ever visited. Rex

no kettle nor free bottle of water

    4DavidPosted on: 5-18-2024

There was a guy who opened the door and the restaurant food was good. Breakfast was ok but not as exceptional.

The room they put us in was not good, it was very old , the cupboard doors would not close and we had noisy neighbors all night. The hall lights only partially worked. It was quite average considering the cost.
