The Birley Arms Hotel

The hotel has a very warm & welcoming atmosphere. My first night had an Irish band playing & there is always something advertised for social events. I only stayed here for 2 nights but would definitely return in the future. No complaints about the food, reasonably priced and good quality.

Good location. Friendly staff. Good food. Free parking. Comfortable bed.

The room was generally clean but there were marks on sockets and walls that could easily be wiped clean. Curtains were thin and ill fitting so didn't block out the light (Rm 9)Would be good to have a fixed price breakfast deal...individually priced items eg coffee, toast made it overall quite expensive.

reasonable price as quality

wifi was very weak.breakfast was not available.

Nice big rooms that are very clean.Excellent food served in the barFriendly staff

Nothing, all was good

The property is very clean and the staff are welcoming.Good food is served in the bar

There is no thing I didn’t like about the property

Very friendly, good food and the atmosphere was relaxed. The staff were excellent

location was a little bit remote but that made it very relaxing

It’s a great place to stay. It’s dog friendly and it’s a pub with a restaurant.

Everything was as expected

Spacious room , comfy bed. Good bedding.

Arrived at 8pm and no food available at the pub. Food stopped at 8pm so had to go out for something to eat

Fabulous food great location, fantastic staff

Location and parking. Easy access into hotel room area bypassing pub area. Heating on and room warm pre-arrival. Good bar area.

Arrived Xmas Eve and informed no breakfast or room servicing available on Xmas Day. Would have helped to know this earlier.

Free parking, convenient for family visits planned

On arrival (3:20 pm in December) I noted the radiator in the bedroom was giving off minimal heat. I immediately reported this to reception and was advised the heating was “on a timer” and would come on. I then went out to visit family returning late to find heating remained minimal (and off in the bathroom). Due to late hour I did not further report this. The duvet was warm but the heating remained minimal when I got up at 7am. There was no way to report this when I left shortly after.

Easy to findNice pub with great foodHelpful staffRoom was well equipped

The heating was on in the pub full blast and it was way too hot

The location was great for the purpose of my stay, the staff were exceptionally helpful and the service was fantastic, the room was quite spacious and the bed was really comfortable i got the signature breakfast which was really good

There was nothing that I didn't like

Travelling for work, really great staff and comfortable stay, breakfast & meals at dinner are great as you might expect for a pub/inn, can definitely recommend.

There was no Wi-Fi, or at least I couldn't see it. This was fine for me as I could just use my hotspot, but might frustrate some.

The room was large and comfortable. Food very good. Friendly and helpful staff.

Everywhere was very clean. The room was excellent, we were given an upgrade which was so nice. The room was very large as was the bathroom, which had a roll top bath and walk in shower The bed was massive and so comfy..We had breakfast which was good All the staff we met were friendly and helpful.
