Sedlescombe Golf Hotel

Great location, very quiet setting. Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, bathrooms with lashings of hot water and huge fluffy towels. Breakfast choice is good and includes quality ingredients cooked to perfection. Staff are excellent.

The location is perfect, just off the beaten track and so quiet. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. Lashings of hot water, huge fluffy towels and twin basins. Coffee and tea making facilities with good biscuits. Food is good quality, well cooked and well priced, both breakfast and evening meals. The outstanding feature of this hotel is the staff.

The room was cosy and warm, the staff very welcoming and professional. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was charming with two sinks and a large bath. I had a lovely view across the golf course watching the early morning golfers. Furthermore, I could hang my clothes in the large wardrobe and relax watching the TV from the sofa. A very lovely experience. I hope to come back again one day soon.

Excellent proper family room with double bed & 2 singles in annex. Beds very comfy. Peaceful setting. Amazing breakfast. For the price, we couldn't have asked for more. Friendly, helpful staff.

The toilet cistern took a while to refill, the bathroom a little tired but these are obviously minor points.

The breakfast was disappointing - no cereal, fruit, or yoghurt. No showers - just baths provided. The curtains and blind were stained, as was the tea tray on arrival.

Our room was gorgeous. I loved the modern take on vintage style. The location is beautiful. It's very peaceful and quiet there. After a busy and noisy London we had a great rest there. Highly recommend.

Very good sized room and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was very tasty too. Good location for Rye and Sissinghurst. Sedlescombe was only a couple of miles away by car and we ate at both the pub and restaurant recommended by the hotel.

The King Room states a patio and outdoor furniture and the photos show likewise, however the photos have now been taken down. This is incorrect as the patio area is shut off due to it not being safe. Feel slightly mis-sold, as Easter was lovely weather and we had booked these rooms to be able to sit out and enjoy the sun.

The room was a good size and bed was comfortable.

A proper shower would have been good. There was some water damage in the room which ought to be decorated.It would have been better if we knew before we got there that we had to check in at clubhouse.

Location is good, staff are friendly. Clean linen and towels, good tea and coffee and toiletry provision, and the room was spacious. Great to have two basins! Lovely really hot water for bath and shower. Toilet, basins and bath were clean except for comment below.

The bedroom was not clean. The whole carpet needed vacuuming, under the bed the carpet was a different colour (grey) where it had not been vacuumed for a long time and there were dead insects and huge cobwebs under the bed. The bathroom floor needed sweeping and mopping. There was hair in the bath plughole and dust and hair on the bathroom floor. One light bulb was missing in the bathroom.

The location is very good. Our room was very large, with a comfortable king-size bed, very big bathroom and views over the golf course. Check-in was quick, although we needed to go to the golf clubhouse, which is a different building. Tea/coffee/biscuits are plentiful.

There were nail clippings from a previous guest on the carpet. They were still there on day 2. WiFi and TV signal were patchy, with the signal being lost several times. We mention this because the bar/restaurant closes at 5 pm, so people are more likely to be in their rooms in the evening.

Lovely, clean and spacious and comfortable bed. Also, very quiet, we enjoyed our stay and will book again.

Spacious, light and airy with a very comfortable bed and big bathroom. Easy access to places via car outside of property. Friendly, welcoming staff.

For our first time staying at this property, on arrival, we found it confusing as to where to check in. (More signage needed to support this) but this didn’t affect our stay.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable spacious room. The breakfast was a standout and amazing value, and they kindly offered some off menu options for our kids.
