Pros +
- Brilliant location. Good breakfast. Comfortable room
- Reception staff excellent
- The room was nice - big with a comfortable bed
Cons -
- Car parking payment system is ludicrous unless you are well versed in technology. We were on the top floor accessible by very steep, narrow staircase. No lift. Decor and everything else was very tired and in desperate need of TLC.
- Poor parking arrangements. We didn’t really mind paying, but finding the way into the hotel from the park into the hotel on a stormy evening was grim. There was no breakfast
- The exterior of the hotel was poor with windows rotting and in poor condition. Windows need repllacing.I also did not like to pay for parking in the hotel car park, as the car park was in the hotel grounds parking should be free.

Lovely room, absolutely loved the stairs inside our bedroom and I loved the fancy tap in the bathroom. The breakfast was amazing. The staff were really friendly.
breakfast was, included, staff were friendly and attentive and offered to assist.I liked the size of the room.

Checking in
If I used the hotel car park £10 I drove around for two hours to find a parking place within walking distance. When I went to my room that was like climing everest top of the building loocking out on the yard and backs of homes and shops. No heating on in room windows wide open had to work out how to get radiators working in room and bathroom. Had to leave the hotel to go to there sister one down the hill to get an evening meal that cost a fortune £28 for fish & Chips. I went back to hotel Lookout to be told breakfast at 8am no good when working but managed to get breakfast because my clients wern't ready for me probally one of the worst and cheapest breakfast streky bacon cooked beyond its life one sausage and half a mushroom scrambled one egg not impressed.
The staff were very helpful. The room was lovely but the door to the balcony was locked. Very good location. Breakfast was good oither than hot drinks - see below.
I'm not sure you should have to pay £10 for parking in the hotel you have booked? I travel all around the UK and if a hotel has parking it is usually free and often this is why you booked that specific hotel. The computer based coffee machine for breakfast was terrible - the coffee was disgusting. I wanted tea and wanted clean boiled water but it came with scum! this need a re-think. plus several other guests were complaining . However the food was good.
Great location, great staff, great breakfast, comfy bed, great room
Nothing!
Hotel in a nice part of town, nice views. Bar/reception staff very helpful
Hotel quite shabby, we had a balcony but it was very unkempt. Chairs looked like they would fall.apart. main curtains were torn. Felt it should have been better for what I paid.
Employee Tarik, great.Bed, comfy.Breakfast, great.
Room warm and comfy, breakfast good. Location good for visiting town.
Needed a wardrobe in bedroom.
Our room was amazing and was not expecting what we had for the money we paid. Great price, location and very friendly staff. We loved the happy hour between 6-7pm which fitted in well with our evening meal time.
The hotel had a nice vibe and location was perfect to wander the high street and be in walking distance to pubs and restaurants and there’s parking on site. The staff were lovely and welcoming
We were in room 11 and for the duration of our stay there was a dreadfully annoying banging of a window or door, we weren’t sure what it was. We told staff and they investigated but couldn’t find the issue so we had to deal with in from check in to check out. We slept with a fan on to drown it out. Also the top of the shower was absolutely covered in black mould which made us uncomfortable and the bathroom is barely big enough to stand in. Also the door to the room didn’t even open properly because the bed was in the way so I feel like the room could have been laid out differently. Also some of the buttons on the tv weren’t working so we had to use the buttons on the tv. The room had character but was in desperate need of a makeover or at least a new lick of paint and some tlc to make it more enjoyable. The banging was the main problem though as even with the tv on it was distracting
Man behind the desk was very helpful and polite , the breakfast was very good and hot
everything was very good

Challenging stairs. No lift.Carpets need replacing. Needs re-decorating. Condensation on windows.Had to pay for car park.
Good location
Rooms are very tired - Need decorating. Bathrooms need an urgent refurb too. Public areas / reception & breakfast room were so cold! Corridors / stairwells all very run down.
Location is perfect, staff were very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was absolutely perfect.
A little dated, could do with a bit of a spruce up, otherwise couldn’t be faulted.
Beautiful house, good mix of period house with modern stylish elements. Location is brilliant, close to the Main Street with loads of cafes, shops etc, but not in the middle. Very spacious room with super comfy bed. All very clean.
All good. Some might like a modernised bathroom. And perhaps less heating is needed.
Great location, friendly staff, nice breakfast, roomy bedroom with comfortable bed & convenient car park at the back of the hotel.
Decor is a little tired but if it was a1 the price would be double like it’s sister hotel just up the road.
Comfortable room. Good location with parking. Excellent breakfast
