Very good breakfast. Hotel is only a few minutes drive to Hastings and battle

Woke up to no water supply on the first morning, just about managed to wash using a bottle of mineral water we'd brought in with us. We were offered showers at the health club - but was too much Pfaff first thing in the morning. Water was back on when we got back in the afternoon. Thought the hotel should have offered some kind of compensation - but they didn't !!

The distance between the property and the spa facilities , these facilities are just what you would usually get at your local pool and very busy .Breakfast was slow to be replaced, woke up on the last day to no water, couldn’t brush teeth or shower, considering the price I paid for the second night , approximately 60 quid more expensive for the second night , no real apology or compensation, this put a real downer on my stay

Kind friendly staff, comfy bed, fabulous shower and excellent food.

Lift out of order for 3 days, staff kindly carried my luggage to and from my room.

Location, grounds and general ambience

Out of order lift, some of the breakfast had been over cooked, or potentially out for too long….and it would have been nice to have seen all decorative lights alight around the grounds

Service at restaurant and bar could be better

Set in beautiful grounds; spacious and comfortable room with large bathroom with a bath as requested; very quiet with plenty of cupboard space, shelves, drawer’s and hangers; plug and charger points; free WiFi. The breakfast, which was included, was very comprehensive and even with an option to have a specially cooked breakfast dish; it was delicious! We ate in the dining room for dinner and enjoyed a well presented and delicious meal and found the drinks to be reasonably priced. We had Swedish massage in the health club that was in a separate building a few minutes walk away. It was very well appointed and we enjoyed a swim, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room.

There is an additional charge of £20 pp to use the health facilities but this was covered by the hotel in our room charge but we needed to buy a spa bag at £10 each that contained flip flops a robe and towel - the last two items had to be returned to have the additional charge of £10pp deposit returned. Had I known this in advance I would have brought our own towels and robes which we thought the hotel would have supplied.

Fantastic staff who are incredibly friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the property itself needs some attention to justify the price. The driveway is currently full of unmarked potholes, and the rooms lack the expected 'spa' extras like bottled water and robes. It’s the small welcoming gestures that make a stay feel special, and they were unfortunately missing here.

Breakfast was as expected, however cooked buffet style isn't fitting to the property - Might as well keep warm out of site in the kitchen and have table served service.

Easy, free parking. Friendly welcome (important) efficient staff. Lovely spacious, clean room. Comfortable bed, quiet environment. Pleasant bar, good breakfast.

Our only disappointment was that the breakfast items were not in continuous supply & it wasn't that busy.

The room wass very large and the bed comfortable. A good clean shower room. Breakfast was very good. Dinner was in the bar room and consisted of a very good selection of meals on the menu.

The Bedding was clean & the room generally was clean.

1. The room was incredibly hot - the radiator was on full blast and there was no way to cool down.2. There were cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling and water marks / stains on the ceiling.3. The shower temperature control was not working and the water was scalding hot.

Given it was freezing outside it was comfortable and very warm. Even in the conservatory. Many hotels like this have poor food. However, dinner was excellent, one of the best curries we have had for a while.

Noisy bedroom - possibly the extractor fan in adjacent room on all night - which made sleeping difficult

The beds were exceptionally comfortable.

Room service availability is limited. Some of the furniture in the room was showing signs of wear.

The property was beautiful the bar and restaurant are quite nice and the food was ok

The room we stayed in . The heating was stuck on at 23 degrees even with the window open it was far too hot I couldn't turn it down and the noise from the air con throughout the night if it was air con kept waking me up the bed had a huge divot in the middle which I kept rolling into it really wasn't a great nights sleep at all.

we stayed in room 22. We wanted to use the bath however the bath plug would not remain in position so we called for assistance. At one point we had 2 staff members and my wife all leaning over the bath trying to fix the plug but without success. Never mind

apart from my earlier commments, everything else was excellent

Beautiful hotel Staff were welcoming and polite.Room was large and clean. VERY Comfy bed. Shower/bath was very nice.Breakfast was tasty, got and filling. The coffee-wonderful.

WiFi was non existent. But that’s ok. I’ll just get my memes later.
