    • The meals

    Cons -

    • I didn't eat there but the food sounded lovely. I thought it was a little expensive. Did drink at the bar, again expensive. 2 glasses of wine was £17.10. Wow! I think they should re visit their bar prices. Furniture in the bar area is desperate for reupholstering. Felt it let the hotel down as other areas were nice.

Very clean and warm roomBed was very comfortable Food was good Pints were good Staff were brilliant - nothing too much trouble

Our room had a door to another roomAnd it was a wee bit noisy but not awful. Bring ear plugs and it will help a lot with the motor way noise

Location, though we were attending a function in the hotel. Nice and warm throughout.Nice clean room with comfortable bed. Very good food in the restaurant which has a nice ambience thanks to the mix of booths and tables. Great breakfast.Bar prices normal for a hotel.

    Nothing really.

    The view

Two single beds pushed together when I bought a double bed room. Bathroom soaps were not great, plastic cups, no lock on bathroom door and sink didn’t have a proper cover over it.

Very quiet in the hotel. Staff at reception and at the bar were all very friendly.

Motorway noise - but that was to be expected given the location and it didn't disturb me.

Easy to get to. Lovely comfortable hotel, recently refurbished with very welcoming staff. Easy parking

    Nothing at all

Beautifully decorated building, staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout all sections. We both immediately felt comfortable in the atmosphere of the hotel. Check in was efficient and directions to the room straightforward. The room was lovely, clean and well equipped. The windows blocked all motorway noise out, the curtains blocked all light and the heating was fully controllable, so we could be comfortable. The beds are comfy and there was spare pillows for those that would find one a bit low. Big supply of tea and coffee - ran out of milk twice, but easily supplied more from the bar.I liked that there happened to be an iron - I never iron but my new shirt happened to be the type of fabric you do need to iron, so I was able to do so when I arrived! We didn't watch much TV but had it on briefly before bed and there was an extensive choice of channels. We had dinner and several different cocktails which are amazing, particularly the Starburst. The steak pie is lovely and a huge portion. The chicken fajitas were delicious according to my partner and he commented how much he liked that everything was sliced thinly, ideal for putting in the wraps. He couldn't eat it all as he's had surgery and staff were completely accommodating in packing the rest up for him to take to the room.Breakfast was buffet style and was nice. We had a cooked breakfast, staff brought out fried egg and poured coffee so it's nice to help yourself but also have that personal service for drinks and any additional requirements. We also had cereal and some continental items. We really loved the place and would definitely visit again. It's reasonably local to us but far enough that it still feels like a getaway. Very easy to find from coming off the bypass.

The only thing that could be an issue for some guests is that there was an adjoining door in our room and you could hear every movement made in the next room. They did go out and we never heard them again later on at night or in the morning, but this could be something to consider if the next room didn't go out and you were sensitive to noise, or wanted maximum privacy.

Hotel was handy for trip to Gkasgow

Breakfast cost .Only had 1 roll and slice of toast. 2 cups of tea , Despite explaining we were on our way hospital and couldn't eat much , we were charged £29.90 !!!!

    9JagjitPosted on: 2-5-2026

It was clean, fresh and had attention to detail. I stayed in a holiday inn express the night before and this felt like a massive step up for less money.

    10GraemePosted on: 2-1-2026

Fantastic staff, breakfast and evening meal excellent food with large portions. Couldn't finish any of the meals. Even the "Wee" breakfast was "Large" and will set you up for the day.

Room was a bit close to the motorway, so a little bit noisy, not a massive problem. Will ask for another room the next time.

    Location and value for money

Breakfast was terrible. Scrambled eggs were green, tattie scones were undercooked and black pudding was like a hockey puck.

    8LorrainePosted on: 1-29-2026

The staff are very welcoming and friendly esp the ladies that served us lunch and then breakfast and also the bar staff were lovely

We were a bit disappointed that there was no buffet breakfast, altho the breakfast was still very good.

Was really surprised at how lovely the hotel was because it was really really cheap. The food, staff etc were all first class.
