Friendliness of staff. Lovely room. Really good food

did the job for me as I just needed somewhere to sleep in the areadecent breakfastcar parkok room

shower gave out cold water from both taps so I gave up after a few minutescouldnt get normal TV on - options were netflix which wanted me to pay or iplayer which wanted my email address and password, so I gave upin breakfast I was served one cup of tea - not asked if I wanted another, and 1 piece of toast with my breakfast, not a couple of slices in a rackOnly small points - not deal breakers, but just a couple of pointers to maybe help others in the future

Breakfast was excellent, and very good service. Dinner was also well received. My ensuite single room was more than adequate for my needs.

Everything about this Inn was absolutely first class. The staff, comfort, cleanliness etc was fabulous. My room was a single, with one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The linen towels were full bath size and there was a wide selection of soap shampoo etc. Then we come to the restaurant. For dinner I had absolutely the largest fish portion I have ever had on my plate with chips and peas. It was delicious They offer a full English breakfast in the morning which I can highly recommend.

Shower could have been more powerful but I'm being picky there.

I couldn't stay for breakfast so they left me a tray outside my door for the morning. It had cereal,milk in a container with ice under , orange juice,and apple and yogurt. A very nice thought.

The breakfast was free with the room and was well presented, served hot for the hot dish and good servings. Selection of fruit juices, good variety of cereals, fresh fruit pieces and yogurt. Excellent service.

The room was very noisy with bumping noises from other guests in the room above and stair traffic on adjoining wall Twin beds very narrow and matrices well past the use by date.Did not enjoy my evening meal selection Wrong entree was served to the table causing delay. Major issue with staff member accidentally knocking a full glass of wine across the table, which smashed into pieces resulting in the red wine being thrown across the front of my partner and pooling on her clothing and covering her in broken glass resulting in several small cuts. Staff were slow to respond in providing toweling to clean up the mess and enable us to dry off my partners clothing. No offer off bandages was made. An offer was made to enable us to launder my partners soiled clothing but was not followed through. The staff member was apologetic and the glass of wine replaced ....but that is all...

Ideal location for us to attend wedding function nearby, staff very helpful and friendly, couldn't do enough for you.

I stayed at the Wheatsheaf for an event close by. They did a great job of managing the separate resturant/pub and Inn. The breakfast was amazing, and being able to eat great food onsite for dinner was a plus!

Online communication with the Inn wasn’t as streamline as one normally expects from a hotel. Though onsite the staff was very attentive. Give yourself plenty of time if using a taxi, this area gets busy!

Comfortable room, nice staff, easy parking, good food.Good location for the gardens in the area, try Wakehurst.

Traffic noise but I expected it on the main road.

A great value for a night. The staff were very friendly and attentive. For the price we were satisfied. Quiet location and nice blackout shades. Breakfast in the morning was good, but not exceptional.

The rooms are definitely spartan, and the toilet in our bathroom was challenging to flush reliably. The beds were very hard. The floor in the hallway to the rooms is worn and sagging under the carpet. Downstairs twin rooms could hear all the noise from the other guests upstairs. Upstairs double room was quiet. The angled ceiling in the rooms upstairs was a bit challenging to navigate, but not unexpected based on the photos posted.

The location was conveniently near Haywards Heath and Brighton. The Staff were vey welcoming. Food was good. The room was small - as expected - and had good facilities. Excellent breakfast choices.

Banged my head on the sloping roof! The bathroom although good was very narrow and the shower was on the width rather than the end of the bath which made showering quite restricted. Also there was very little space available for toiletries.

A nice local pub. Great to have the bar with pub food available which was all very nice. Showing lots of sport on the TV so managed to watch the 6 mations rugby while we were there. We had a large family room despite only being 2 of us. Bathroom had just been refurbished too.

Was a very unpleasant smell on entering the room, we only had the 1 night so didn't complain about it.Despite having a new bathroom the ceiling wasn't finished so we had a view of the roof while in the shower, very strange.The room itself although clean could do with a coat of paint, lots of knocks and marks on the walls.

THe bus stop was very close which was good as I rely on public transport.The staff were very friendly and helpful.Food was delicious with amp;e portions.Bed was confortable but bedding too warm.

We loved having delicious meals just downstairs, the access to a bath tub, enjoyable walk through town and friendly staff. I'd rate this an 8.5 stay.

The stairs were quite steep. Ceiling was angled on one side of the bed.
