Pros +
- Staff, food, location allWonderful
- The wjole property and the beautiful grounds and the food and staff were amazing particularly our waitress Christie and our butler Mike
- The spa was lovely, clean, and relaxing, and dinner in the Walled Garden was consistently excellent. Breakfast in the walled garden on some days was also very enjoyable, with attentive staff. The grounds were beautiful and it seems very dog friendly.
Cons -
- The bed wasn’t particularly comfortable
- Unfortunately, there were several aspects of our stay that fell short of five-star expectations. Our room was a wheelchair-accessible room, which was not made clear at booking, the toilet was so high my feet couldn't touch the floor (I'm only 5'5"). The room was noisy at night, with staff talking and walking in the corridors, and there was no air conditioning which would be a major issue in summer. We encountered cleanliness and safety issues, including broken glass on the bathroom floor and blood on the sheets. Breakfast service was inconsistent, with drinks taking excessively long times to arrive, orders arriving incorrect, toast taking so long to arrive we had already finished the rest of our breakfast. The spa was lovely, clean, and relaxing. However, we noticed inconsistencies in staff instructions, such as requiring flip flops indoors while other guests walked around in outdoor shoes.Overall, the service and attention to detail did not match the standard we would expect from a five-star hotel. I wouldn't recommend it or return.
- bedrooms are tired - we were overlooking a kitchen entrance. Staff in brasserie struggle to bring coffees to order - consistently wrong order delivered or not noted at all

Fantastic hotel , wonderful spa, excellent service by staff & fabulous food in the two restaurants.
Public rooms and gym and frounds and equestiran facilities are very nice

We had an amazing weekend stay at Lucknam Park Hotel. The staff attendance has exceeded our expectations from the minute we arrived right up until our deprature. The spa facilities were great, very clean and not crowded at all. The grounds were beautiful, especially in autumn when the nature has so many colours to explore. We were also lucky enough to dine in Restaurant Hywel Jones which we didn't book in advance but David (the restaurant's manager) was so helpful and made it happen! The tasting menu was such an experience! Overall, an amazing stay with outstanding staff attention. Will definitely be back again!
The staff was amazing, we felt very welcomed. The spa was just wow and not crowded and what was most enjoyabelt - the spa has all sort of stema rooms and saunas, not just 1 type! The ambience of the place was fantastic.
Wonderful place for a spa retreat, the facilities were pristine and not crowded. Lovely grounds and both the spa and the walled garden restaurant blend seamlessly in the background. We also got upgraded to a manor room which was also great and full of character.
There's nothing to say here.
Everything was perfect except …
Breakfast was a shambles on one morning after car event … way to busy not enough staff … dont take verbal orders you’ll forget as you did twice … lots of uncleared tables ..
The location and grounds are breathtaking, peaceful, you feel completely in tune with nature and it is a great place to relax. The spa facilities are great, if you are into walks the grounds offer great strolls in nature. The hotel overall has an old world charm to it. The dinner was good at the Walled Garden restaurant.
The breakfast procedure needs to be improved. The guest is not clear what to order and the staff was not instructing the guests regarding the options. In addition the timing needs to be improved as well as the offering. The buffet and menu should have a selection of cheeses since it is a traditional produce of the area. In terms of taste everything was very good.
The property is fabulous and we had a lovely arrival on Friday evening. There are plenty of activities to do around the property and the walks are brilliant. The equestrian enclosure was our favorite, being able to see and stroke them was relaxing after breakfast. The SPA / outdoor jacuzzi is also fantastic and we found it quiet over the bank holiday weekend which was a big plus!
The first night dinner in the walled garden was underwhelming and the restaurant service was a all over the place, it seemed like the team couldn't wait to get home as soon as it hit 9pm. The second evening was worse, it seems the staff don't want to make eye contact on purpose and prefer to focus on clearing and setting up the tables for the morning breakfast seating. Additionally, it seemed when being served there was inexperience on what cutlery should be present and we found that we had to go and seek a member of waiting staff to assist us constantly (rarely would a member of the team check in on us and whether we needed anything else, basics such as tea spoons with your coffee / tea, salt & pepper or condiments). The room was very quaint, we had a country room but we couldn't find the 'do not disturb sign', there is no AC but a standing fan in the cupboard which was manageable. We liked the fact we had bottled water but because it was so warm there was no where to chill it. Additionally, considering your spending over £500 per night for a country room there was no type of VIP amenity or welcome amenity other than 3 ginger biscuits which is a bit sub-par considering the cost. The night before we checked out we received a copy of the bill, they charged 5% service charge on the nightly accommodation which was a little insane and 10% on F&B, needless to say we asked for this to be removed. I don't where they got this 5% additional accommodation service charge from, even it was to work if there would need to be a noticeable turn down gift every night, check in from the duty manager regularly and an impactful VIP / Guest amenity but that really was taking the biscuit to charge! Lastly what we didn't realize was the amount of children staying, on the face of booking the hotel gives off a much adult themed vibe but we found the opposite.

The beauty of the property was exceptional. Gardens and little unexpected paths taking you to yet another section of the property was such a treat. The stables were the cleanest I’ve ever seen and the two 5-year-olds were escorted on their ponies. What a fun experience. All staff members were lovely, attending to us with a smile and efficiency.
No air conditioning in our bedrooms. It was a hot spell and our top (second) level bedroom was hardly made better by fans. That was our only complaint. Otherwise, grounds, amenities, food and service were wonderful, 10 stars.
Great amenities. Michelin dinner was great.
Staff felt relatively under trained and not professional (including two staff having a large argument while we were waiting to be taken to our Michelin dinner table)
Beautiful location and convenient for the main focus of our stay (Badminton Horse trials). Friendly staff, excellent food and lovely facilities (spa etc.)
Nothing!
Lovely grounds, great bar and restaurant
Cleaners left the hoover outside our room and the linen cupboard door wide open at all times. Asked for it to be moved three times to no avail!
The hotel was spotless and the grounds immaculately kept. The staff really couldn’t do enough for you they were so welcoming and friendly. The spa and pool facilities are the best I’ve been to. Will definitely be returning.
Loved everything but someone taking drinks orders by the pool or ordering via a QR so you didn’t have to go back into the restaurant each time would be great.
An amazing retreat with excellent staff and services and beautiful gardens! The spa is also a highlight by itself! Totally recommended.
Outstanding hospitality and really excellent all round offering from this stately hotel. Great food offering.
Original room we were assigned (a courtyard view standard room) was not very private, anyone headed to and from the spa could peer into all the ground floor rooms/bedroom windows if lit from within.Bikes were not very well maintained - took us and many other couples quite a bit of time rifling through flat tyres or poorly installed seats.Second dining room for the Michelin restaurant was very poorly lit with no warmth or vibe whatsoever, more of a KGB cold lighting ambience. We mentioned this and kind of got ignored about this (and the wine offering) for a couple of courses, before we insisted we move to the other room. Better service and mood. Food however was excellent.Breakfast appears mixed or slightly underwhelming at first, seeming at first glance a less luxury or quality offering (eg the continental area, brands of condiments, etc) but the cooked part is always EXCEPTIONAL quality, and the English breakfast tea was of a very very fine calibre too.
What a fabulous place to stay. Fantastic facilities, the height of luxury but what really made it special was the incredible staff, professional, friendly and so brilliant in every way
We stayed in a 3 bed cottage but only the main bedroom had a mirror. My girls had to dry their hair in my room.
