Pros +
- The Slipway B&B was a real find. We loved the location at Port Isaac. It was beautiful. The owner and who was one of the staff could not have been more helpful. The chef made excellent meals. Hotel employee went out of his way to make our stay GREAT.
- The location is perfect for Doc Martin fans.
- Location in center of town. Very authentically old. Nice for younger people. View of harbor.
Cons -
- The car park is a good walk away. If you have mobility issues, be sure to give this consideration.
- Shower too small to bend over (couldn't wash feet); parking was up the hill, a good distance, and 5 pounds per 24 hours. Two flights of narrow stairs made it hard to get our roll-ons to our room. WiFi was unreliable and slow.
- It is not a matter of disliking but of knowing what one is getting into.Knowing before hand that driving and parking in town was not going to be easy and then finding it so was then no surprise NOTE check into taking cab back to park lot

Location is perfect for touring most of the settings for the Doc Martin show. The breakfast was tasty and well-prepared and was included in the price. Check in was quick and internet was available in my room. It met my needs for a one day visit.
Could use a fan in the room for warmer temperatures but an open window was fine for the one day visit.
the location cannot be beat. So convenient to everything in the village.
the shower was very small and only 1 person could be in the bathroom at the time.
Location was awesome! It's in the heart of Port Isaac and our room had a great view of the water! The food was very good and the staff was very helpful with any questions that we had. One employee went out of her way to help us out with something.
Wifi was sketchy when I tried to use it from the balcony. Would only work in room. Free though! The only other issue was couldn't sit on balcony due to bird poop everywhere. Maybe a daily clean would allow some usage although you can't control birds!
Great staff very clean breakfast was lovely
The bathroom was to small in the room we had
Location was great, right in heart of town.
Bar area and dining room could do with returning some more old world charm (sea faring nick nacks etc) to boost the atmosphere. Wasn’t thrilled with outside patio either.
Location, view’s friendly staff
Location was excellent close to everything if you are a fan of doc Martin you will love it food was excellent staff and accommodation excellent could not fault.
From the moment we arrived, the welcome was amazing. Our room was spotless, cosy, with a wonderful view. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the staff couldn't have been nicer. On our journey there, our car broke down during storm Barm and they allowed us to stay for an extra few hours, in our room, in order to wait for our lift home. Thank you to all..we'll definitely be back!
Staff were really friendly, and i felt very welcome and at home, important when travelling alone. Enjoyed the food, local, fresh, hot and imaginative. Going to slerp to the lapping waves a special joy.
A bedside table would have been nice, or small shelf.
Lovely staffFantastic locationLovely roomMade to feel welcome
Location
Sitting outside although undercover was rather chilly in late September.
What a neat little hotel. It was the perfect location for us. The rooms were all unique and quite cozy and comfortable. Our room was clean and quiet. The breakfasts were stunning and the staff was helpful and friendly.
We loved the hotel. It would have been great if they were open for dinner a bit later but they sent us across the street so we had a great time.
Everything …. Location was great, excellent food and comfortable friendly bar and staff Room was clean and perfectly what we wanted. I hope to return there again
Welcome, view from the room, location, fabulous staff, look and feel of the place
