Nothing special

Room too cluttered - no space to move around. Mirrors top low and in the wrong place. No shelves in the bathroom to put toiletries.

We had a wonderful night away at the hotel. Staff were excellent, room was spotless and great value for money and both breakfast and dinner were great value and lovely. Youssef, our server, went over and above and the reception (apologies for not catching your name) were great! We would be back here in a heartbeat.

Recently refurbished rooms

The shower could have been hotter and the menu could have better vegetarian / vegan options.

Hotel was easy to find and staff very helpful from the moment we walked through the door. Very comfortable rooms and bed.

Great location beautiful decor and great staff

It's very new, so the decor is much better than more expensive hotels in the area and those in the same price range. However, the sheets and pillowcases aren't changed daily; I stayed for three days and it was the same set the whole time. My comforter had a small stain that's been there for the past few days without being changed. The towels were all folded, but I can't be sure if there are any better options.

It was so hot! I turned the heater down to 15 degrees Celsius, but it was still very hot, so I had to turn it off and leave the door open. The couple across the hall were also very hot, and they opened their door too. But if the heater isn't on, it gets very cold in the latter half of the night. However, this hotel is still the best overall in the Newtonmore, Aviemore, and Kingussie area.

The hotel was stunning very clean the lady on reception went over and above for us after a mix up.

The staff were exceptionally nice and helpful ! The hotel is modern and looks recently re-done, the food was absolutely fantastic! Also the new gin cocktail the bar manager makes is awesome

There isn't much

A beautiful room, very spacious, lovely furnishings and amazing bathroom. Fresh milk in the mini fridge was perfect. Staff were fantastic. So helpful and friendly. The whole hotel is clean, tidy and very tastefully decorated.

It’s a tiny thing and wouldn’t put us off staying again but it would be good to have more than just two breakfast teabags.

Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and value for money. Spotlessly clean rooms with great facilities.

‘Background music’ playing downstairs could be heard in our room till late and from early morning.

Amazing value. Spotlessly clean. Great staff. Cannot fault at all. We ll be back. Huge comfortable bed and thick fluffy towels.

This was my second visit to the hotel, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. The rooms are modern, comfortable, and absolutely spotless. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touch of a small refrigerator stocked with fresh milk for tea and coffee, such a nice detail.I had a great night’s sleep, with only a bit of traffic noise. The location is ideal for exploring the Cairngorms, and breakfast was lovely, just the right start to the day and fuel for a long day hiking.

My only real complaint would be the lack of parking, which made getting my things to my room a bit of a hassle. That said, it wasn’t enough to deter me from staying again, I’d happily return.

On the whole for our stay Bedroom and Dining room tended to be on the cold side for comfort.

Lovely room

The TV was very difficult to work and the kettle was in an awkward place. Couldn’t get basic channels on TV far too complicated.The very worst thing was being woken at 4am with a drill going and obviously work being done in the building. Thumping noise and selling. The receptionist said there was no work being done in the hotel but there definitely was in that building anyway, we had a really bad nights sleep. It was ridiculous.

Hotel has been beautifully refurbished: our room was very large, with a sitting area and smart bathroom. We ate at the hotel every night - excellent and generous menu and efficient and attentive staff.

Great reception, hotel is freshly renovated, clean and comfortable.

Great facilities: teas/ coffees, shower, shower gels conditioner etc.

Modern warm hotel. Lift to rooms, comfortable room and seating areas.
