Pros +
- Rooms and restaurant overlooking the loch.
- The place had beautiful views , the room was spacious and clean.
- There is nothing to dislike. The absolutely gorgeous breathtaking position overlooking the loch and mountains is spellbindingRebecca is a perfect host setting the scene for dinner and breakfast . Both meals were far in excess of what we had hoped for. The menu choices, seasonal ingredients and chef made dishes were perfection We brought our dog along and he was warmly welcomed too with a welcome pack and many pats
Cons -
- Somewhat isolated.
- An amazing place just a little out the way but then if you are wanting the views etc then I suppose it is well situated.
- Understandably there was no one on reception due to quiet seasonHowever this was made up for by the lovely lounge area with well stocked honesty bar.

Evening meal was spot on, good value and very nice. The only drawback was a seperate bathroom but we did know that when we booked.
Seperate bathroom
Stunning location over the loch. Comfortable and clean room and the food at dinner and breakfast was excellent. Charming host answered any queries and was a delight to stay here on a wet and windy February night!
Nothing. I was mightily impressed.
The place is very charming and welcoming with stunning views and all the faciities you might need. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had an amazing and very tasty dinner and breakfast. There was a power cut in the area the night we spent there and the staff went above and beyond to ensure all guests have their needs met. It was lovely to watch.
Everything was amazing!
Really nice comfy room, nice breakfast. Plenty of good food well presented in the restaurant
A comfortable stay made special by excellent staff and wonderful location. The restaurant is expensive, but the food is very good and we expect to pay a premium in such a remote spot. This is a fabulous place to hunker down for a night or two to get away from the bustle and enjoy some creature comforts after a day exploring the great outdoors.
Nothing - we enjoyed every part of our stay.
The food was lovely. Nice room but outdated Windows, if you come near them you'll be cold. Redt of the room was too warm.
The hotel was closed for unknown reasons so they changed us Last minute (one week ahead) tot another Hotel 200 km earlier on the NC 500. This kinda ruined our roadtrip for three says. Would be Nice to receive more communication about the reasons why it was closed.
Very clean and comfortable. Staff attitude was top notch. Facilities are new. Location is easy to find. Parking right in front of the hotel.
The cost per night was high even when the stay was done during the winter in Dec. The app showed a reduction by over £170 for a two-night stay if I hadn’t booked the stay so early in September. I have paid a lot more in extra. :(
Location - stunning.Nice vibe to the place - a bit expensive but I know it is remote and it is expensive to stock and get staff.Food was good but no steak offered - I had sea bass and it was excellentThe Dining area in the evening was too cold but nicely furnished.View from Dining room is to die for.Nice breakfast but a bit small - see below.
The Property needs maintenance on the outside.I was in the attic room and it looked out onto the roof area - very tatty.Cullen Skink - not the best for the cost, too many potatoes, not enough fish and a bit watery - still tasty though.Rather than a full breakfast I asked for Sausage Bacon Egg and Toms - leaving off mushrooms, black pud etc so when it came it looked a bit depleted. Suggest adding a bit more bacon or an egg to compensate please ?
Food was great, stunning view and nice staff.
The breakfast was delicious. The staff tried graciously to persuade us to eat an even larger breakfast, but our attention was on watching the amazing sight of the changing currents on the loch just outside the window.
The hotel excelled in every way. Of course if the cloud level had been a little higher on our departure day we would have enjoyed hill climbing. Instead we had an exhilarating cycle from the lands of the MacLeods to the homeland of the Mackays.
It’s an amazing location and an extremely comfortable hotel with beautifully furnished rooms and very cosy. It’s also a fantastic place for dinner and the staff were just lovely. A perfect stop off.
Great location in a beautiful setting. Staff were brilliant and the food was excellent.
A bit pricey but the location and views were worth the extra price.
Very clean, comfy bed.Location lovely and easy to findStaff pleasantGood breakfast
The room at a price of £592 for two nights b & b was far overpriced. It was very small with a tiny window looking onto a back passage. There was no hanging space for clothes, easily resolved with hooks, no large mirror for changing. No storage space, all in all poor. The bathroom shower head was too low down and the shower panel was so small it had no effect so floor was soaked.
The food here is absolutely excellent - as were the staff and the location. Wonderful views from the dining room and we even watched a seal while we were having breakfast. However i thought the room itself was quite basic with a very small bathroom, i understand about supply and demand and we booked fairly late on for a Saturday night in a location with limited accommodation options. Even given that i thought it was definitely overpriced.
The cost and the bathroom
We loved the location of the property which was stunning. The staff were very friendly and helpful . The food was excellent and it was very special to eat in a restaurant with such an amazing view across the sea.The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept really well.
This was our most expensive guest house that we stayed in during our tour of Scotland so our expectations were high. The size of the room was small and in need of redecoration . The showers robes were in need of replacement . We expected more for £299 a night.
Great locations, great bar, food and guest lounge with an honesty bar.
No hanging space for clothes in the room. No wall mounted shower which made it difficult to shower properly.
Stunning location, absolutely breathtaking view, even in pouring rain. We loved how convenient it was together with the restaurant where we had our best seafood meals so far.
The room was not en suite, we had to come up and down the stairs and community corridor to go to our bathroom.
