    Pros +

    • Location was spot on. Room was very nice. We ate there too and that was really nice.
    • Super location right on the SWCP, opposite beach access, right across the road was their beer garden & even though on main road it was quiet, because Beer itself is a very lovely quaint village. We had the Sunday Roast Dinner (turkey or beef) & it was quite good. Breakfast was included & ordered off a menu.
    • The size of my room and the pleasing decor exceeded my expectations. I also enjoyed having dinner in the garden and the sea view from my window This hotel is in a great location for those walking the coast path. Staff are helpful. The rooms are comfortable. The food is good

    Cons -

    • Only 2 two teabags and two little milks in the room - less than anywhere else I stayed on this trip. I like a lot more milk in my tea.
    • The stairs to the rooms are quite steep which was not an issue for us, but could be challenging for some. The carpeting and the furniture could do with some TLC.
    • Chilly especially bedroom (ill fitting window)

We enjoyed the fantastic location right next to the beach. Beer itself is super charming. The room was comfortable with views of the sea. We also had a good dinner and breakfast. The beer garden was also nice and visited by many.

The stairs to the rooms are quite steep which was not an issue for us, but could be challenging for some. The carpeting and the furniture could do with some TLC.

Great location. Parking in the road outside was free after 6pm. Comfortable beds and pleasant decor. Small room however for this age of property rooms are never going to be large. Good breakfast next morning.

Facilities in the room were dated and heating wasn’t on during the day however it did come on next morning. A small heater was available in the wardrobe which we used to warm the room up.

    6Flawed_MotionPosted on: 4-18-2025

What a location ... could see the sea and beach from our room !! Fab :-)

A bit dated in parts - more so the bathroom but a minor point really with just a bed for the night.

Ideal location, able to park close by.Hotel very clean, good decoration throughout. Ate both evenings of our stay and found food to be very good. Enjoyed the happy hour offered on both evenings.

Both of the rooms were mistakenly set up for one person only. After having to prove that we had correctly booked each room for 2 people, It was eventually sorted out.

Great location.Cosy and comfortable.Friendly staff.A bit noisy from early morning outside room.

A lovely place to stay if you’re looking for fair quality. This is not a five star hotel but what it is is comfortable, clean and friendly. The breakfast is superb and well worth the extra. All in all a great few days in Beer.

Only a one night stay but very nice.Perfect location on the sea front by the fishing boats.Food was nice both breakfast and evening meal.

Excellent locationVery helpful and friendly staffClean warm room with sea view.Bar area very atmospheric. Sitting area outside overlooking the sea.

No free car park or parking area.Surprised that we had to collect our own wine, which cost £25, and glasses from the bar!

    Disappointing

What lets this place down is the loose floor boards that just don't creak when you walk around your room (3) but do this loudly, not only in the room but from the room above which seems to have little noise insulation. They sholud really do something about this, which woke me up at 5.30.

Good breakfast, served with a smile. Dinner was reasonably priced, and we'll cooked. Inn is right at the seafront, pretty little village, with numerous walks along the coast.

No ensuite in room 2! A bit of a nuisance having to walk across the landing for a pee!

    6SallyPosted on: 3-24-2025

Fabulous location. Our room was spacious and with a great view.

The breakfasts were pretty dismal, a limited number is stale croissants, no yoghurt on day 2, no replen of cereal selection and a cooked selection which sounded great but was in reality a selection of poor quality ingredients cooked by someone who didn’t really care. The bar meal was a bit better but pre- poured pints and bottles of wine already opened before getting to the table are not commendable as a practice. What a shame as the location and setting are superb- done well and this would be great - sadly it wasn’t.
