    Pros +

    • Convenient location, spacious car park (although £5 per night) and if you want to use a gym etc, this is the place for you (I didn't but that's not a moan!) - it's just an OK 'business' type hotel with a gym & Starbucks (which is useful)To be fair, price was ok as most other hotels in the area had got greedy £££££ because of a football match in Newcastle.
    • We did have a quiet room which I asked for. I asked for green tea bag’s and one of the people on the reception did give me two green tea vafs & two camomile ones.
    • Great staff great gym and food and sports on tv. Class

    Cons -

    • Check in / out a bit fiddly (they obviously want you to DIY) and getting a proper receipt for work messy if you've booked through a 3rd party. Hot water in bathroom never really hot and actual water flow / speed slow. Room a bit dark but OK. Nothing special.
    • Having stayed at this hotel several years ago, the hotel is tired , broken tiles in the bathroom . The pub which used to be a cosy place to drink and eat is now a sports bar with several tvs plus fruit machines...and being charge over 100% more than standard rate due to capacity...not be staying there again
    • The poor lighting in the room.. the shower pressure wasn’t good either

Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was convenient as it was located directly outside the hotel

Carpets were dirty in the room and the heater didn't work. Panelling around the toilet was loose and wonky

    Size of bedroom/bathroom and bed

Heat in bedroom the fan was so dusty inside it wasn't letting much cold air out and a lot of dust in bedroom and fan in bathroom was full of clumps of dust and around taps were dirty

    7DiannePosted on: 8-15-2025

    Breakfast and beds were comfy

    Booking .vom charging me twice

    10ClairePosted on: 8-8-2025

Room clean and comfortable - bed was just right, shower was powerful and hot, surfaces all clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good, wide range on offer. Really good value.

How busy the gym was at 6am. Obviously a popular place, which speaks loads about it's value, and amazing facilities. I'm just being picky :)

Great location, great food and leisure facilities.

No air-con, just a weak fan. Constant banging music coming from the gym and I had my window open for the heat.Decor was tired, only one towel, no milk for my coffee. It was great until I got in the lift to my room. Then the standard slumped.

Good gym and bar and restaurant

Noisy person watching television loudly all night in the room next to me so I hardly slept ?

Hi very clean staff very helpful

    Air conditioning in room stuffy

    8RichardPosted on: 4-23-2025

I liked checking in was quick. Room was warm, tidy, clean. Checking out also quick. Staff nice, smiles all round.

The fire alarm kept going off. I have sensory issues. So had to leave to get away from it. I couldn't use the lifts as fire alarm means it's a hazard. But I'd definitely go back. Can't judge a place on 1 visit.

    Great facilities

Needed more room for families in the pool, only 2 lanes where children could go the rest was adult only. So the 2 lanes for families where jam packed and uncomfortable, whilst the rest of the pool only had a couple swimmers in. The hotel room was very noisy with constant doors banging and could hear every step the people oIn room above us took on a creaking floor to our ceiling. We had little to no sleep came home exhausted. Not great when the reason we went was for a break and to relax.
