Pros +
- Proximity to event we were attending in Rainhill Staff were friendly and helpful
- I enjoyed the style of the rooms, they were big. Enough and decent parking. Glad to have appreciative staff.
- We liked the location, we used to live in Rainhill, but have lived in the Midlands for over 30 years. The breakfast was good ?, the Staff were very pleasant.
Cons -
- Room Door did not have self closing mechanism Decor was sad and appeared to have been done on shoe string budget Overpriced for facilities provided No safe in room
- They put me in wrong room considering I have multiple correspondence back and forth about pictures of yeh room before I came my tv disnt work for 5 days what I reported an they said the fixed what I have videoes off ther was slugs in my bathroom my bedding was not changed daily maybe every 3 days when they did move my room it was supposed to be down grade and better than my deluxe roomI forgot to mention I come into the room 1 day to a flood and they didn’t have a room to move me to the said the would refund me what I did not get
- There was a wedding when we arrived, 10/11pm. Unfortunately, at this time during a wedding people were all loud and drunk - something I don't like to be around after a journey. When going to reception there was a very drunk man who clearly had an issue (clearly his). He was swearing and was asked to leave. This is not the hotel's fault at all, however these things happen when hosting a lot of weddings, especially until late. The music stopped at 12 and had thin walls, so I'd think twice if youre a light sleeper. Still, I would go again, as the staff were friendly and accommodating.

The room was okay, we missed having air conditioning. We normally stay in Premier inns because we know what to expect. and the beds are comfortable. When we looked out of the window and saw the window sill, it didn't create a good impression, but you expect that from older buildings. We would have spent more in the bar, but they had run out of draught beer, so we ended up with 2 bottles of 330 MLS of lager for £10, so we only had one drink ( we chose to go into Rainhill instead.
Pleasant staff. Good location for our purposes. Food was good. Got lots of fresh towels. Quiet.
A little dated. Did not have the shampoo, conditioner, both wash dispensers that all the previous hotels we stayed in had.
- A nice hotel to stay at overnight- Pleasant grounds- Good parking- Close enough to Liverpool Airport and easy Motorway access- Good breakfast
- Floor of shower definitely needs some anti-slip treatment or rubber mats to prevent slips and falls.- As it is at the moment, the shower is an accident waiting to happen!
Hall, rooms beautiful. Tea/coffee in room, we're given extra milk on request. Tranquil ground.
All was good.
Spacious room, clean, nice decor and facilities
Bathroom was cold, beds not very comfy
Perfect stay once again,, Thank you so much to Michael, Amy, Caitlin and the team...Nothing too much trouble all staff will go out of their way to help you... Cannot wait to be back in May...
Not much
Room small no bedside lamps no chairs to sit on breakfast very poor service very slow should have space where u can get your own cereals and juice
Everything...All staff friendly and very helpful, nothing too much trouble....Best ever hotel we have stayed in..We took our dog Coco, who was loved by everybody there...
Nothing not to like...
Total disgrace
The fact the I booked was not the one I was allocated, then had to pay a further fee of £15 to be moved to the room I originally booked, and the room was in a broken unclean state, the bed was held together by screws and the bath panel fell off when I closed bathroom door, I then got allocated another room which seemed ok, but then had the bathroom flood because the sink was leaking
Okay
We was put in room 10, from 6am in the morning on day of leaving all we had was continuous banging and talking outside the room as it seems we was placed near an exit that the staff may use. Their is no view your looking into other rooms. Other times staying have been amazing so it may just have been this side of the hotel wasn’t the best
Very good value. Nicely decorated room. Friendly staff
Room was very warm and staff were preparing for an event at 3.30am with crockery next to our room. They were very apologetic when I went and asked if they might do it a bit later.
We booked the bridal suite and there is only one traditional key so we had to keep it together at all times. The suite had two copper baths next to each other which we tried to use however there was no hot water whatsoever after various efforts we gave up. There was no remote for the tv so the staff had to find us one from another room and the roomWas just really tired and needed upgrading with comfortable bird cushions blankets etc. There was some sort of function next door to our roomSo we had broken sleep. We had to both get cold showers in the morning again no hot water. The security deposit I paid I only received £38 from£100 which I only noticed later on so I am presuming I got charged for a new remote control or something.
Great value rooms , nicely done
Food too expensive , must lose a lot of customers to ember pub over the road
Great value for money when booking online, overall a really good experience
One curtain wouldnt close properly (if I have to find something) but overall for one night can no complain
The building
A funny smell from the two bedrooms we checked into (downstairs)
The location was nice, staff very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, confortable and the breakfast was good.
