Value for money. Very clean hotel/pub.

The shower head bar came off the system. Some engrained grime around the shower tiles

The staff were lovely, bar prices were not expensive, and the barstaff class. My room was nicely warmed up before I went to bed. I can`t stand the cold, so an absolute bonus for me. would I stay here again? absolutely.

Not open on an afternoon, so do not arrive before evening opening times. Karaoke in one of the bar rooms. Not a big fan.

Very clean, comfortable and reasonably priced.

Beds were 2'6" singles, though comfortable, may not be suitable for everybody. Stairs are small space and may be difficult if you have mobility issues or heavy luggage.

Superb room, modern, clean and very comfortable. Lots of amenities (tea, coffee, etc). Super friendly staff.

The room was a bit too warm, and reducing the theromstat on the radiator did nothing. My room overlooked a road, so I could hear cars all night. Plus, you could hear people talking and talking on a corridor (and in the pub downstairs). Still, great value for money given the room price.

Location is great, smell of pud is quite strong, can be noisy. Other occupants can slam the main door on a regular basis . Can hear customers out the back chatting and smoking. Shower has no pressure and the shower head needs replacing. Lack of dusting also. Staff are pleasant.

Size of the room and clean and tidy. Car parking availability immediately outside the property.

Shower needs attention as can be tricky to operate and bathroom could do with a makeover. No shelving for towel or items.

Ideally situated for our needs. Made to feel most welcome by the 'regulars' on our arrival.Good location to visit lots of places without costing 'an arm and a leg'.Our room was comfortable, clean and warm. No restrictions on access. Served a nice pint

Great location, not far to Durham, Sunderland, different beaches along the north east coast, Dalton place shopping centre is just down the road, parking spaces always available. Friendly and helpful staff, clean room, everything I needed for my break

We came just for the night and the location was great for us it was less than 10 minutes to where we needed to go in an uber so it was great for us and the property itself was fine it was clean and the staff were nice

Wet smelly window wall. Bed so soft we could not stay on them to sleep, kept rolling off. Noise from downstairs, raving banging music.

Wet window wall smelt horrible. Constant noise from downstairs . Music banging the whole time I was in my room. Beds child size and so soft we rolled off the singles, had to hold on all ight to stay on the beds.

Convenient & serviceable.

Room very tired. Dusty round the edges. Rusty fixtures. Bedding clean but stained. Shower head needed replacing. Nowhere to hang towels.

Clean and comfy bed, also how pets are allowed

The window didn’t close so draughty, chipped mug, marked Lino in bathroom and a dirty plastic cup.

Good location for what we needed.

So noisy on a weekend, nobody replenishes tea/coffee/cups/towels, beds are ridiculously soft, almost like a water bed. Carpet was heavily stained. Parking outside very limited. Heating has a mind of its own.

Single beds ,very soft and narrow. Every time you turned in bed you fell out

Mattress in room 7 was way too soft made sleeping difficult.

There was no Breakfast! The room was very clean and not too small.

There was no Breakfast and no cafe near for breakfast. The stairs and passage are narrow and awkward.
