- The location is lovely and well worth a visit. Lovely town and a great location to visit many of the wonderful sites and walks Dorset offers. The room was extremely warm and the shower and toiletries very good quality.
- Lovely hotel - very spacious rooms and well equipped. Good quality breakfast.Lovely town closeby - 5 minute walk. Very helpful & friendly staff.
- We have stayed at the Eastbury several times and have always enjoyed our stays. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable. Brilliant location in central Sherborne.
Cons -
- Whilst the garden rooms are spacious and very very warm. The bed was not comfortable. Why do hotels like this only provide standard doubles! The hotel whilst charming and quintessentially 'English', just feels a bit of a mix of tired and quality. The room itself had a broken toilet seat, a cracked bathroom floor tile. No ability to warm the towels and as mentioned the bed was not comfortable. We had to ask for a room clean directly and the bed linen was not even properly made or the floor properly cleaned. The manager was very welcoming and helpful, the other staff a little aloof. It has a feeling of something trying to be something, a bed and breakfast with whistles.
- Toilet roll holder is out of reach. Shower not on a hose, dressing gown too small, no wash cloth. Not keen on highly scented hand wash etc. No air conditioning and room at top of building. 28 stairs. TV minimal channels, couldn't use Netflix or other apps.
- There was nothing to dislike!

Serene gardens, old world charm of the place, brillant location. Nice breakfast, good ambience . Bedroom comfortable, comfy king size bed, no air conditioning, adjustable heating, lovely coffee, chocolate and biscuits. Stylish bathroom. Two guest lounges, pleasant decor.Friendly staff.

The breakfast was high quality and great service. The room was very comfortable and very well equipped. We will certainly stay again.
The location was very convenient to our Supper at The Sherborne and our concert in The Abbey. Our garden suite was super, under floor heating, Smeg fridge and kettle. We really enjoyed the television which had BBC iPlayer, Netflix and other apps!Finding an Alexa was great too!

Great Breakfast. Central location.
More of a B&B not a hotel. Charges hotel prices but lacks hotel services after 9pm.
Beautiful setting close to town.Convenient car park and breakfast was excellent
Room was a little small
Location is very good
Previous rooms had modern storage, our last room had a large wardrobe with the door that creakedWe also had face cloths last time but in our room this time
Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.
Only one dressing gown provided for spa. Pointed this out but not corrected. The promised sloe gin never arrived. For a spa hotel we thought facilities in room were no more than average.
Room was lovely, good location for town, breakfast a great standard.
Not convinced it was value for money - no dog or treat, milk in fridge not replenished, bins not emptied - small things., not the end of the world but when you’re paying over £500 for 2 nights, would expect attention to detail!
The bed was comfortable
The toilet wouldn’t flush and there was no running water. Other guests had issues too. There was no staff in the hotel after 8pm to resolve this. The hotel told me at check out to submit the refund request on booking.com and are now ignoring it.
Very friendly & helpful staff. Good location with excellent breakfast.
All good
Attentive staff Good size room and lovely complimentary items in room Good choice and variety of breakfast items Beautiful garden Parking easy walking distance
As an older property be aware some steep stairs if you have mobility issues
Stayed here a couple of times and it's a great hotel. Even the cheaper rooms are very comfortable and actually really well priced compared to other hotels in the area. Very good breakfast as well.
A piece of history it was a pleasure to stay there. So everything including the breakfast was superb. All staff were helpful and friendly
Fabulous location with easy walk to town and castles, very friendly staff, lovely, spacious room and especially appreciated the complimentary sloe gin. Breakfast was superb.
Nothing. Would have been extra nice to have a bath but the shower was hot and very good
Excellent location and lovely staff. When they saw my husband was struggling to get to the top of the hotel by some very steep stairs they change our room . So considerate. The room was spacious very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Easy to park which is a real bonus in Sherborne.
Central-lovely clean comfortable accommodation - extremely warm welcome-fabulous breakfast
No bar in the evening.
A lovely building set in gorgeous gardens located just a short walk from the town centre
