    Pros +

    • oversold. room photos extraordinarily flattering....
    • The property was very luxurious, clean and comfortable. They had a lot of facilities which were well worth the money. The staff over there were extremely friendly & approachable. Amey in particular was especially helpful and nice so guys if u me someone called AMEY you’re in luck. Just ask him anything
    • The hotel was clean. The bedroom was comfortable.

    Cons -

    • beyond the building foyer, all the decor is jarring and of mediocre quality. the sofa in the hoxton ‘suite’ was extremely uncomfortable, and the window faced a brick wall. there was no availability to change rooms, so we decided to spend the night elsewhere.
    • Honestly there’s nothing I don’t like about it
    • We were unable to check in until 6pm due to the previous guests being allowed a late check out. This put us at a disadvantage and gave priority to other guests. This is not in keeping with the information on the website pertaining to late check outs.Upon arriving back at the hotel in the early hours of New Year's Day we were informed that the only way we could have a drink at the bar was to buy a ticket for the event being hosted in the main bar! We were not told about this in advance and the hotel details state that they have three bars in total! Our room was not made up when we requested it to be and a repair to the shower was not completed during our stay.I complained at the time and was told that the Duty Manager would speak to me however this did not happen until check out and then I was kept waiting and was only spoken to when I asked if I was wasting my time by waiting!I was advised to complain in writing which I did do. I was offered a discount on our next stay, which initially I looked at availability in March but when I enquired about February due to a change in our circumstances no body replied to me. It has now been weeks as we stayed from the 30th to 2nd January. We wanted to spend New Year in London as we had spoken about it for years. We decided to go all out and stay at a more expensive hotel and celebrate in style. Sadly this was not the case. We will not be staying there again, with or wothout discounts.

The property was mainly clean (a few hairs on the desk). The staff were absolutely exceptional - warm, friendly, they upgraded our room and were very informative. The room itself was generally very clean, large, good temperature, very peaceful and the view was lovely. The games room was superb and really made the stay top tier.

The pool closes too early. As there's a lot of facilities, it's difficult to experience all on a short term stay - perhaps 11pm or midnight would be a better time.

Room was big and clean . Very comfortable bed. Perfect location.

    DO NOT ATTEND

It wasn’t worth 5* star! £250 for a hotel not worth it! Didn’t even have toothpaste or shampoo as promised! Old fashioned

    2ChristopherPosted on: 1-26-2026

didn't go for breakfast after reading bad reviews.

It was not a 5% hotel, it was 3-4* at best. Dirty, rude reception, anemities not provided.

The spa was okay and our hotel romm was generous and the hotel location is good for exploring Shoreditch.

The staff just seemed a little dislocated from their job and there was no warmth to their service. The layout of reception is a weird set up and the room we were allocated (while very large) was extremely dated in its decor and there was a weird odour throughout. The images of the hotel rooms and general areas did not match the cold, almost municipal building effect of the reality of this hotel. It's size, location and the provenance of the building mean that it could be great but is mediocre at best.

Hotel needs to put in ramp to be able to wheel the cases when go in and out of hotel quite hard trying to lift big case up and down steps. Good location alot in the area bars cafes etc only a like a 2 min walk. Room was lovely bathroom was cold though compared to room. Tv was bril had sky movie channels. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bar was cool with the old cells.

Bowling in hotel not great balls kept getting stuck and very little selection of lesser weight balls. Bathroom was cold compared to room. There needs to be ramp in front of hotel for easy access of luggage to go in and out steps are a nightmare with wheel case. The pool area was disappointing jets not working in pool no separate jacuzzi really for 5 star should have a separate jacuzzi not part of main pool steam and sauna rooms were both closed for repair work. Pool area was the biggest disappointment compared to rest of hotel could do way more with it.

    Location

Dirty , lacking atmosphere and service . Dust all over the room , badly looked after .

    7RufflesPosted on: 1-3-2026

Really spacious room with nicely fitted sheets and great view from our bedroom of the city of London! Shower was lovely with constant hot water!

It felt dusty in some parts of our room and found bits of hair. I think the day that we arrived was also very busy so can understand why the room wasn’t cleaned thoroughly. However house keeping made up for it and cleaned our rooms daily!

    7EmmaPosted on: 1-1-2026

Rooms was good size and the bed was really comfortable loved the pillows!!

Only thing was the tea and coffee facilities weren’t near a plug socket so had to move it all, we only had one pair of slippers and the phone didn’t work very well but only minor things.

    7ChristopherPosted on: 1-1-2026

Good location, lovely foyer and bedroom. Very clean. Food from the bar was divine.

We booked for 2 people and kept being given one towel each day even after speaking to staff. The shower kept flooding as the drain was clogged.

It was great location, with great breakfast and we had a really nice sleep in the room.

Disappointed Restaurant service although this was kindly amended end of stay

The hotel is ok, I liked the bowling alley and cinema

bit pricey for where it is and bo entertainment outside.

    10SinaiaPosted on: 12-22-2025

The staff made the whole difference for our stay as we fairly travel a lot with my partner, it was very rare and great to have night staff to be this kind and talking to us and explaining to us everything - when I ordered food they called my room, very well mannered, incredibly professional - I will come back surely just for the staff - the hotel was amazing too but the staff truly made the difference - better than clerking at charing cross and Victoria or soho hotel or the ned. locations is amazing, room perfectly cleaned

slight problem with the pipe while taking a shower but it was just a technical problem nothing that made us dislike the hotel as we will come back next time we are in London

    It was all great

Very nice comfortable room, very good swimming pool.

Food in the restaurant was ok but not what you expect in a 5 star hotel.
