Beautiful room, especially liked the bathroom.

We couldn’t work the aircon

I liked the interior throughout the property included the room.

Disappointed the image didn’t match what i paid for. Deceiving as i thought the room i booked would be the room i got. Had a blue themed room, not disappointed by it, just not what i had planned.

The restaurant was disappointing

Our initial room had a problem with the electricity, so we were upgraded to a suite. This was such a pleasant surprise: the suite felt luxurious and was full of delights such as a large bath, warm toilet seats, some of the soften sheets I've slept on, etc. Loved every bit of it! We didn't get to use them much, but really liked the beautiful spaces downstairs where you could read, have a drink, etc.

Hotel: Design, amenities, and location were excellent.Room: Design fantastic. Bed comfortable, bedding superb—but, as expected, British king size. Cleanliness and cleaning staff top notch. Nice bathroom with a rain shower head and a towel warmer, which was appreciated during our Dec/Jan stay. Fun radio with Bluetooth option.

Reception staff [with the exception of the night porter!] were extremely curt and cold during check-in, when answering questions, as well as during check-out.The breakfast buffet was disastrous [no rolls/bread at 9am, very limited selection of everything else].The room doors were extremely loud. Dishes from neighboring rooms were left in the hallway for more than 24h.Questionable layout decisions: little space to hang clothes (week-long stay), small TV, hotel hairdryer could only be used in the writing nook.

Outrageously fabulous! We booked the suite and we wasn’t disappointed, very quirky, attention to detail in the room was executed perfectly. This standard was echoed around the entire hotel. We would definitely stay again!

Very good

Really shouldn’t be advertising the ‘Full English’ breakfast because it isn’t. Beef bacon and beef sausage was awful. A full English uses Pork Bacon and Pork Sausage. We shouldn’t have ordered it because we are not Muslims but it should never be advertised as Full English.

What a beautiful hotel. The decor is very tasteful and the hotel comfortable and relaxed. The rooms a good size and beautifully decorated.

The staff a bit sullen at breakfast

Cosy and stylish hotel in and excellent location, 5min walk from Liverpool street tube station. Quiet, nicely furnished, fully equipped bedroom with very comfortable bed.

Room a bit small, but ok for short stay.

The location is great - very close to Liverpool St. The bar is excellent. The staff were generally very helpful. The guy on the front desk late at night even took our Deliveroo number and brought a pizza we ordered at 0200 (after a ball we'd been to) to our room, which was very kind of him.

We were given an accessible (superior) room, which was disappointing as I hadn't specified this at all (and it looked nothing like the photos for the room type). It somewhat ruins the romantic mood when you have red safety cords everywhere, the bathroom is full of hand rails, and the layout is just a bit chaotic as a result of having to have space for wheelchairs. The staff offered us an alternative but it was a lower category of room (and I'd already paid) so it didn't seem worth moving. I'd stayed in one of the top floor rooms previously which was so much nicer and more romantic and suitable for an (able-bodied) couple. While the hotel can't help this, there is a massive building site right opposite which meant there was noise from early on Saturday morning until we checked out. The service was also really haphazard - there was no turn-down service, which I thought was really poor at this price point, and at breakfast, nobody was bothering to put new glasses out, or top up the milk by the cereal, or set the tables ready for new guests etc. The food, when brought, was also lukewarm at best (and actually just cold as far as some ingredients were concerned). I ordered two glasses of champagne from room service which I thought might have been complementary given the room but no jo on that front.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sun Street hotel. The room was beautiful. I particularly liked the Victorian style bathroom. Bed and bedding was very comfy .We had breakfast and that didn’t disappoint either. A small buffet with an a la cart option for the main option. Good quality and friendly service.Reception staff were very pleasant too. Would definitely return to this hotel

Great location and welcoming staff. Breakfast was excellent and room comfortable.

There was a musty smell in the bedroom and it didn’t improve on the second night even though we told staff at reception about it after the first night.
