Welcoming and friendly staff, lovely room, comfy bed and great spa facilities.

Our room was high up, which was unexpected because we just got the standard room. The bar/ restaurant staff were amazing and friendly.

The reception staff were a little rude and seeming like he didn’t want to serve us,the receptionist for the spa was rude didn’t mutter a word to us and just handed towels to us and the spa was dirty it had everyone slipper drooping around which was disappointing

Location is great

Leaking from light fixture made me and my partner very anxious, additional charges added without being told and coffee machine in the room was broken

Great location, quiet and gorgeous, spacious rooms - spa was great and friendly staff - very clean - overall amazing experience!

Spa could be maintained slightly better - towels etc cleared away and temp of sauna & pool could be warmer!

There was no smart tv and the speakers weren’t great, for the money I think they could upgrade the tv a little

Absolutely stunning property. Great location for everything. Easy buses and tubes. Staff were really lovely.

Unfortunately, my brother called the hotel had asked for bubbles and snacks to be left in our room as it was our anniversary. Although the hotel very kindly offered to do this courtesy of the hotel, they never actually delivered it. Luckily he didn’t pay for it.

The spa was awful, FREEZING pool, dangerously slippery floor, no shower gel in the shower, no water ( had to ask for it to be topped up )

We received an upgrade and they decorated the room free of charge for our Valentine’s Day!

They think about everything. You find everything you need in the room. Food was lovely. Staff very helpful and friendly. Can’t fault it

Excellent staff, from the booking till the check-out, they are absolutely great! We are traveling with our daughter who cannot eat salt (she takes some medication). We announced that upfront and they were amazing: they organized great breakfast for her, Bruno came and talked to her during breakfast- she felt absolutely great, despite her medical condition which was not so great. Thank you!

Great hotel, location, beautiful room and very nice breakfast. We also loved the bar for dinner, food was delicious. Just a little disappointment with the pool and jacuzzi - poool was freezing and no one warned us (hearing broken) and jacuzzi broken.

How dark it was in the bedrooms and tricky to see easily and operate all the electric gadgets - lights, curtains, heating etcI found it a bit dark and quite difficult to operate all the electronics in the bedroom.

We were greeted by very polite, friendly staff who informed us our room had been upgraded and then provided complimentary drinks while we waited for the room to become available, as it was our anniversary they also decorated our room for us which was a really thoughtful gesture. A really great experience which has encouraged us to come back and enjoy a longer stay in the summer

Could find no fault, if I was being picky our room was a little warm but we discovered the thermostat so that was easily resolved

The room was well appointed and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good. Location was good.

The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful from the minute we arrived. The room was lovely, very clean and had lots of toiletries available. The spa and pool was great, pleasantly surprised with the addition of a steam room which was lovely. Towels, robes and slippers were all provided. The location of the hotel from the city centre was perfect.

I had the best experience at the Montcalm East. I’d been having a terrible week and needed some time away to reset and de-stress — and this stay delivered exactly that.Juan was my host, and he was calm, friendly, and professional throughout. I was even given a complimentary room upgrade, which was a really thoughtful touch. I truly appreciated the way the hosts go out of their way to ensure guests have a lovely experience. It genuinely goes a long way.The entire stay was wonderful from start to finish. I’ll definitely be returning.Not all of London is lost, it seems.Thanks, Juan!

Location quality and professional friendly staff

Jacuzzi was closed and the first night the sauna temperature was so low it wasn’t worth sitting in.. I. Addition on both days we found the steam room dirty

Well located with easy access to the Old Street tube station and bus stop. Lots of dining options nearby and a Sainsbury within a few feet. Breakfast is great but budget 30-45 minutes if you are ordering eggs.

We had booked a junior suite but were checked into a standard double room. There were 3 of us so the mistake was quickly rectified and we were allotted two connected standard doubles and this worked well for us. The rooms are dark with black decor all around. Windows could have been bigger but style has trumped at the cost of better news of tye city.

Room was comfortable

Not worth the money, spa facilities were poor and dirty. Jacuzzi was not working and the pool was cold. Pool was dirty and difficult to get cleaned.Communications were very poor from the reception staff.
