The location was spectacular. I also appreciated the elevator.

Such a spectacular location with stunning views. The staff were lovely and welcoming. Our room was amazing. We had a lovely dinner at the hotel. High tea was fantastic. We loved all the Christmas decorations. Breakfast was wonderful. Short walk to town and Tintagel Castle. Highly recommend a stay here.
WOW! What a pleasant surprise. My wife and I arrived in Tintagel to this amazing castle, right on the cliffs overlooking the Celtic Sea and directly across from the King Arthur (the story) castle ruins and Merlin's cave. It is simply a beatiful property, as soon as you pull into the courtyard. As we walked into our room, we were so happy with the quality of the finishes, keeping old world interior design with new world amenities. Our view was just spectactular. The bonus? The food and dining atmosphere is top notch. During our first dinner, we met Ted Staunton, one of the owners and resident artist. We immediately hit of off. The next day, Ted gave us a tour of his art studio, which was incredible. He is lovely man and very caring. John and Irina Mappin (owners and Ted's partners) were traveling, so we unfortunately missed them.Camelot Castle is MUST VISIT if you're going to the UK!
It was perfect. Nothing bad to say.
The view was great. We loved the bar area.
We had bugs constantly in our tub. The WIFi didn't work. There was not a sitting room for us to lounge in. We had to sit at the kitchen table.
Location was fantastic and the room was lovely. Very friendly staff and breakfast was excellent
The location is wonderful. It is less than a 5 minute walk from the town but when you are at the hotel you feel as if you are isolated with only the sea and rocks for company.
The place is quirky and that is fine with me but it is in need of a bit of a facelift and a thorough scrubbing.
Great location with beautiful view from our room of the sea
Bathroom was a modular unit-out of place with the antique decor. Got a kick out of the intense self promotion newspaper & photos on the wall of the owners ?
Great experience! One of my favorite places to stay in Tintagel. Plus the atmosphere, the art, the personal and the food. Also, you can walk to Merlin's cave and the town.
That castle was amazing, the room was so comfortable and we received a free upgrade from the owner. The Castle location is exceptional with the most beautiful sea views. Worth the visit.
This place is an experience itself. I love everything about it, the atmosphere, the art, the personal, the rooms, the food, and the view from the castle. We walked from castle to Merlin's cave, and to the town. I highly recommend this place.
A unique experience staying in a castle! Our room was very comfortable with a beautiful view of the coast and countryside. Lovely bar & very nice dinner in the dining room. Very friendly staff. Great location.
The bathroom was microscopic, but suitable. Smallest I have ever seen even on a boat! But, it was not an issue and would recommend an stay here again in a heartbeat!
Extremely beautiful ocean front location next to suspension bridge that leads to Castle ruins.
The only negative would be the size of the showers.
The bar is really nice and the location overlooking Tintagel Castle Ruins is beautiful.
The staff isn’t friendly and give an uncanny vibe. The property is run by Scientologists and the staff there acts like it’s their first day on earth. Tried to order a drink at the bar upon arrival and the bartender told me he wouldn’t make it because he didn’t feel like experimenting when it was two ingredients and i pointed to both so I went to the restaurant and ordered both ingredients separately and made it myself. The restaurant was similar in the fact that the host had the longest sigh when i asked for a table and then sat me and the first waiter seemed like he was new because he forgot my order so a second waiter came over to take my order again. when things came out i was saying thank you but the staff wasn’t looking at me or responding they just kinda slammed stuff on the table really fast and walked away. The room and most of the hotel feel dated and victorian which is how the hotel obviously was designed however it needs updating as I was stuck in the hotel the two days I was there since the weather was bad. The town itself is tiny with not a lot to do but the strong wings and rain made it impossible to go to the ruins since they closed it out of safety concerns and walking the 6 minutes into town wasn’t fun since you cannot use an umbrella due to the winds so you kind of just have to lunge forward and get water boarded till you get to the pub or wherever you’re going. Overall I wouldn’t come back to Tintagel but definitely wouldn’t come back to the Camelot Castle Hotel.
We had an apartment. Which was excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly. Great location, good food at hotel and restaurants in town.
Location and views were very good.Lift was handyPlenty of space.Breakfast was reasonable.
Single room was poor for the money.Shower / bathroom was the smallest space I've ever experienced in a hotel - size of a shoe box.Staff had to told repeatedly rooms and drinks order.Decor was dated and not clean.Bedroom was unattended and the bed and towels were not changed. W-fi was not working at bedroom level to get wi-fi you had to go down to the ground floor areas.Windows needed to be double glazed.Decor was tired.
We had a beautiful view, but from a very small window. Great coffee maker. Beautiful old place.
There was just one chair in the room for two people, and it was a very large chair for the size of the room. No refrigerator, no luggage racks.
The location is beautiful
The property is run down. It advertises as a luxury accommodation but is far from it. The WiFi wasn’t strong enough to send a text or look something up online. The toilet only flushed sometimes, the bath towels were rough and very small, the towel heater and dryer apparently only works in the winter, so no drying towels or damp clothes. Our “luxury sea view” room was so tiny we had no room to open our bags. The carpet was stained and gross.
