Par Sands Coastal Holiday park

Location was ideal, very family-oriented with no anti-social behaviour noted at all. Friendly staff on reception.

No EV chargers for customers with electric vehicles. Additional cost for WiFi. Very poor mobile reception, almost as if it had been hampered to force people to pay for WiFi.

1st time stayed in such a property, I had a better experience than I thought. You have everything you need for a holiday home. Like:Clean, fully equipped kitchen, 2 toilets, central heating,location(far enough for quiet retreat and near enough for nearby city for shopping, swimming pool for kids, laundrette, EV charging.

Though, it has nothing to do with par sands, beach could be cleaner. For parents with kids, play area could be better

Close to places we planned visiting. Property was clean. Nice idea to leave couple of essentials for visitors until they shop. As for utensils etc, everything we needed was available to us.

Main bedroom very small, hardly enough room at side of bed to get in. One side also had a radiator to contend with while trying to get into bed.Used Par cafe onsite, end of holiday, absolutely shocking! I had a light cooked breakfast my husband had a full breakfast, when brought to our table I looked in amazement, hardly any difference! I said to my husband, you're mushrooms are missing, he moved his wafer thin black pudding and there underneath were 4 slices of frazzled mushrooms, inedible!!! Toast wasn't buttered as stated on menu. Cost £25.00 which included 2 teas. Yes I should have complained at the cafe, to be honest I was shocked I thought leave it, but on checking out I mentioned it there, I was assured problem would be passed onto management.

Location isn't perfect, beach isn't nice . No free WiFi just extra pay. You don't get caravan which you booked on website you will get different you choosed.

WiFi didn't work in this particular home and there was no one from the external company that installed the WiFi extender pod to answer the phone and to try and help in resolving it.

1xsmall swimming pool with limited space, which required booking but couldn't book any slots as it was booked by others throughout the week.

It was very clean and the location was excellent. It was quiet and the park offers some good leisure activities such as swimming. Overall, very pleased with the environment and look of the park.

Some cleaning supplies could be provide as they are sometimes needed for longer stays. Also, some additional cooking items, such as baking paper or more baking trays for the over.Also, check-out time is a bit early, especially for families with Young children

Great location, so close to loads of local attractions. Also close to local convenience shop if you need last minute supplies. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The static was clean and warm, the water pressure in the shower was excellent.

The place was a bit bare, but that wasn't a major issue. The mattress wasn't amazing, but it wasn't terrible. Maybe my fault, but I didn't realize that towels weren't provided, but you can either buy some from reception (£15 for two towels) or in The Range next to Par market complex down the road.

The location was great and peaceful

The pool booking system meant difficult for kids to swim. Think would be almost impossible in peak season.

Lovely clean modern site with pool, lakes and good facilities. Very dog friendly and right on the beach. Close to local shops and take aways. Caravan was modern and much larger than expected. Good site security and helpful staff.

Good size, great location. Reception staff to get keys etc were great, so helpful and friendly. Quiet and good facilities. Short stroll to the dog friendly beach. Pool was lovely and warm but only on one day.

On our first morning we went to the on site cafe for breakfast around 10:30am and were told by the gentleman in the kitchen that he was cleaning the fryers so was unable to serve cooked breakfasts! We were astounded by this given that the cafe only opens at 9am… Surely common sense dictates that the fryers should be cleaned out of operating hours or at very least before closing? Lost out on a lot of money as family had joined us to eat so there was about 10 of us who would have ordered. The next day a young lady was serving and a smaller group of us successfully had a cooked breakfast that was exactly as you’d expect for this type of stay, nothing special but perfectly acceptable. The lady was polite and did well considering she was on her own. The other issue we had with our stay was that we arrived at the pool at the later end of a session. Meaning we were only given 15 minutes in the pool as each session lasts just 45 minutes. We needed to join that session as some of the family had arrived before us and were already in the pool as the rules had not been explained to the them, otherwise they would have waited for us and obviously we wanted to swim with together. We were told the reasoning for the sessions lasting just 45 minutes was because staff need 15 minutes to “test” the pool. We witnessed this “testing” which was simply grabbing a cup of water from the pool. Completely ludicrous and really spoiled what could have been a lovely family moment. Whilst I completely understand the need to limit the amount of people in the pool at any one time during peak times, I see no reason why these measures need to be in place during the off peak season. As we left the next session had started and there were only 2 people in the pool. Again, another common sense scenario where judgement should be used and some flexibility given.

It was missing bath mats in the bathroom and toilet.

Wi-Fi should be free and capable of running streaming services on tv.

Caravan had good space for 4, clean and tidy and things worked

Although everything worked, there were no instructions for the heating system and although we figured it out, we couldn't keep it on for more than an hour at a time. No towels being provided should have been highlighted better as we had to buy some. Particularly poor that the reception has no facility to hire out towels for a fee and a deposit, whether it is a company owned caravan or privately owned.
