    Pros +

    • Friendly staff, great food, really nice room, it was perfect for us.
    • Nice location and helpful staff
    • Value, friendly staff, location, parking and they stock Yellow Tail Shiraz ?

    Cons -

    • Extractor fan noisy in bathroom
    • For the price there was nothing we didn't like
    • They didn't serve food after 5pm it was a little too early for us to eat. It would maybe be a good idea to put that in the write up so people are aware that they don't serve food after 5pm. The bedroom was very dark and could probably do with some extra lighting.

Staff could not do enough for you. Great food, great atmosphere and a beautiful little town to visit. Would 100% stay here again.

The staff are lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. They were very pleasant and chatty. The breakfast was lovely and served fresh. There was a car park to the rear of the building.

Friendly traditional pub. Good value and with excellent home cooked food. Room well above expectations for this price point. Secure bike store

Fresh milk for tea and coffee in the room would have earned 10/10!

Comfortable and clean, friendly staff and locals.Great hospitality tray. The bar was friendly and well used, the beer excellent ? Food is excellent and breakfast too. Much Wenlock is a friendly place with much to see in and around the place. There is a pie shop on the high street you MUST visit, more of an emporium. A great museum at the other end of the high street that children love. Will definitely stay again.

Lovely Friendly staff, room was a good size, it's in the town and has parking, food served all day and a good breakfast. I had dinner and breakfast and both were lovely. Clean toilet and bath, comfortable clean bed.

There was only one thing that could be a little better, the dusting hadn't been done on the window frame and bathroom light. Plumbing is a little loud too but that's understandable in an old building, other than that it was lovely.

Clean tidy all the facilities worked, staff very friendly and helpful.

    Nothing it was all fine.

Great location central to the large village with in street parking. Major towns all within a 15 minute drive. Nice pub and busy with locals for both foods and drink. Was too late for food and skipped a beer as I couldn't see any real dark ale / porters. Pub fell silent at about 11.15 so no problem sleeping. Just 5 rooms above the pub, very clean and fresh smelling. Step up to the bathroom for those that need to know. It's centuries old so it is as well updated as they could. Be aware of the floor slope and meaning in bed your feet can be higher than you expect ?I didn't use the TV so can't comment on that.Plenty of tea and coffee available. Dispenser soap in the bathroom. Towels fresh. Shower over bath with slip mats if needed. Follow the instructions on how to get shower hot water and you will get there - be gentle and patient! It's a quirk of a centuries old building!Breakfast was cooked to order, select from the menu items just what you like. Bacon was tasty and the rind cut like gammon. Cereal in individual boxes, select as you wish. Joast and jam. Tea and coffee. Good portion of lovely Greek style yoghurt with generous fresh fruit topping it off. Tea and coffee. Orange juice not from concentrate.Only slight blemish for me was the breakfast sausage - compared to everything else that was top quality, this was chip shop style and a bit poor. Also I think it was a tad undercooked, though it was piping hot.Service when arriving, leaving, and throughout breakfast was spot on, chatty and friendly. Would I return? Definitely. And I recommend the place and the area.Price paid? I'd say a fair price; provided what I needed at a price I'm happy to pay.

Perhaps get local sausage from the butcher rather than bought in.Possibly awkward to achieve but raise the head end of the bed to get a flat sleeping position.

Olde world charm. Clean and comfortable room. The breakfast was wonderful. The staff were all lovely. We ate in the pub and the £14 meal deal was great value and all homemade

Nothing! However the over bath shower might bother some guests due to the plumbing of a very old building it was a little unpredictable but signs in bathroom advised well

The breakfast was good. Superior Room was spacious but a little plain.

It was advertised as having chocolate and cookies and neither were present but having contacted the fox direct they said booking.com had incorrect information. Very disappointed

The staff were pleasant. The evening meal was good pub grub. The breakfast was excellent..perfectly cooked hot breakfast, I also had fresh fruit and yoghurt. We'd love to stay there again.

Not a lot of room in the car park, but not unexpected in a traditional pub in an old town.

The three course meal had a vegan pudding to die for and cost &£18, to include a proper Xmas dinner and starter. The staff were absolutely lovely and two minutes walk away from the centre of this lovely market town. Oh, and the museum was free and very interesting.

The rain. It rained and rained.

Nice friendly place the staff were lovely. Room was excellent - nice and roomy overlooking the main street which is very quiet. spotlessly clean room and comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good and nothing was too much trouble.

Nothing at all ? a lovely little place in a lovely village

The staff was friendly and kind. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The local people in the pub were friendly. We met Reg and his dog Charlie. There were many dogs staying at the inn. The town is darling. One of our favorites. Highly recommend.

Clean, comfortable room with very obliging staff and car parking on site.

Key pick-up in very noisy, crowded bar.Carpets in main part of hotel need replacing, or at least a jolly good clean.
