    Pros +

    • Everything was good ¿¿
    • The hotel is in a good location near the sea and a short distance from the town centre. In its day it would have been a fabulous and grand hotel to stay in. It has been redecorated and has a certain charm to it. It is certainly good value for money and we could not complain with the breakfast offering included in the room price. Staff were polite and helpful. The bed was comfortable and nice plentiful pillows were appreciated. The bathroom was clean and windows that opened enough to allow fresh air in to rooms were good. Off-road Parking outside the main hotel door is very convenient.
    • Friendliness of the staff. Good breakfast. Great location even in winter!

    Cons -

    • The bathroom door is a sliding door which can not lock, this was not ideal for my two teenagers. The bidet was not operational in the bathroom which seemed odd. There was no evening meal available on the night we stayed but we were able to eat in a neighbouring hotel, sadly the food there was not great but I am sure during the season the hotel provides evening meals.
    • More choice for an evening meal.
    • The seats in the dinning room were quite tired although comfortable. They either need replacing or reupholstered.

It was a beautiful place with gorgeous views over the sea. There were lots of places to sit and enjoy the view. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

The seats in the dinning room were quite tired although comfortable. They either need replacing or reupholstered.

Large room , nice view, friendly staff , plenty of off street parking

Rooms are dated ,breakfast wasn’t the best , we were first for hot food and watched it being brought from the kitchen, I hope this isn’t the case but I’m pretty sure some of the items were reheated from a long stay in the serving dishes , some of the bacon was inedible, needed a chisel to cut it , hash browns were Luke warm at best and had a stale taste to them , the fried eggs were the only highlight, only appeared ten minutes after the rest of the food

Beautiful old building in an excellent location.

    Requires some upgrading

    Great location

The room was not clean. There were many cobwebs in the corners and behind the TV. The bathroom door was very dirty, the mattress protector was dirty. The cups were dirty. The TV remote was dirty. The bathroom light pull was dirty.

Staff were very friendly and efficient, made very welcome to the hotel. Was my second visit and hope to return again in the future. Lovely views and ample parking.

The bed mattress is nearing the end of its life.

Staff are wonderful Beds were comfy Great locationBreakfast was decentClean

Hotel could possibly do with spruce up as rooms and en-suites are slightly dated. But always clean.

Excellent well equipped ensuite room, very clean and very quiet. The hotel is opposite the golf course and near the sea. Highly recommended.

Clean place, great breakfast. Food for dinner was good. Very friendly staff

    6SusanPosted on: 1-15-2026

The food at dinner and breakfast was the most disappointing part of our stay. The view, however was wonderful.

Food was bland, greasy and cold. The room was bright and breezy with beautiful views.
