The room was large, clean and beautiful
Great location, big room and friendly staffs
Room Key is too big ?
Location was central to our travel plans and being at a very accessible location, it was a smooth and comfortable stop-over. The restaurant together with the hotel was superb and definitely saved us a lot of effort to find a dinner spot. The amazing dishes helped us recover from our long drive over and we had a rested rest overnight. Breakfast was also very hearty and proper. Will definitely be back!
Not really "not like" point but the room keys was hung on heavy fish keychain. Was definitely a fun and cute point but was just wondering if we stayed more nights, we'd have to lug the heavy key around (haha).
Loved the Quaich bar and Ryan the bartender. Excellent breakfast. Great location for a distillery tours.
The receptionist who checked us in and also with whom we checked out was not very friendly. Seemed annoyed with us and could not have cared less that we were leaving. Overall, every other staff member was warm and friendly.
This place was perfect. Lovely rooms, a sitting room for tea, a fantastic whiskey bar, and great restaurant. There is a footpath outside of the hotel that was so nice for morning runs. We wished we were staying longer.
Location, restaurant and staff
Small bed which was just ok for comfort. I like a larger bed without a middle bulge
The reception staff went out of their way to assist with special requests. The whisky room bartender was knowledgeable and did a great job answering questions and helping us make a selection. The breakfast buffet and menu options included a wide range of choices. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms spacious.
Some spaces are showing signs of wear - scuff marks, scratches, etc. A little attention to those details would take this property from good to great.
The staff and reception and the manager went above and beyond to help us out when one of us was sick. Many thanks making
Breakfast was included with the room and offered a very nice variety of cold table and prepared dishes. Very friendly, accommodating staff. This is exactly what you would expect from an old Scottish hotel - peaceful area, beautiful hardwood creaky floors, quiet rooms. The bed was incredibly comfy, dinner was superb, and the famous whisky bar fabulous. There are no elevators but there are accessible rooms and while there are no bellhops, there is usually someone around to help you haul your bags up the stairs if you are in an upper room.
WiFi is not good.
Incredible from start to finish, beginning with the warm welcome from reception, thoughtful (and necessary!) espresso in the room, and incredible experience in both on-site restaurant and bar. Breakfast was sumptuous with made-to-order entrees which kept us going all day. Would be back again in a heartbeat.
The property is beautiful with a great restaurant, great staff, great whiskey bar, and close to top distilleries.
No A/C, I’m sure that’s not usually a problem there was a heatwave during our summer stay. Bathrooms and shower on the smaller side.
Beautiful areaBeautiful, well-appointed roomsPristine cleanFriendly staff/very accommodating Great foodEasy drivability to many distilleries, the river, Walker shortbread, etc
It was perfect!
Stayed a couple of nights - family of four - 2 adults and 2 teenagers- we had two rooms. Convenient that the teens could have their own room with 2 twin beds. We ate one night in the restaurant. Food was delicious. We also went to the bar. Amazing scotch selection. The included breakfast was superb - combination of buffet and made to order hot breakfast. Easy parking. Check in was fast and easy. Clean rooms. Excellent bath products including whisky lotion.
The bartender seemed overwhelmed for the number of guests/mixed drink orders. He was very knowledgeable about scotch and gave us great advice - it just took a long time!
Location and Cleanliness.
Incidence and staff error made at the check out.No air condition and no screens on the windows which let bugs to come in.
We just loved it - the decor, atmosphere and staff were amazing!
Lovely hotel, nice room, great tub, dinner at Spey Inn was nice, very good breakfast, whisky bar impressive
A few glitches: internet wasn’t working for a good part of our day, the pub closed at 8 pm Sunday and at 8:10pm my husband could get nothing to eat, not even bread or chips, or crisps. Monday morning at breakfast a laughable number of food items were not available. It just didn’t exude the sense of a top hotel.
