figuring out the shower on the first morning LOL

Exceptional staff. Friendly and helpful. You can tell they are trying to make improvements.

Shower pressure was lacking. No fitted sheets, just 2 flat; was odd.

A great place to stay. As always, a warm welcome for us and (especially!) for our Basset Cora who loves it here! Comfy bed, decent shower, fab curry, excellent value..

A small thing - just the room lighting which is either too bright overhead lights, or the bedside light which is so dim that you can't read by it.

Very clean bed and bathroom

The shower was weak and very hard to adjust the temperature. The room smelt of damp and there was damp on the wall.

Best part of this stay was the excellent Indian restaurant! Location was a bit tucked away but the bus stop was right in front.

The staff were very friendly. I was upgraded to a bigger room as the single room I booked was under maintenance. The bus stop is right outside the hotel. The hotel has its own restaurant.

It's not the best location if you plan to visit Edinburgh often on your trip but it's great for the areas around it. Bus transportation in this area is a bit on the expensive side. Unfortunately I could loudly hear the goings and comings of the room next door and all their conversations.

A great place to stay if you are a budget traveller - just a train ride away from Edinburgh. The place is only a few minutes drive away from Polmont Station (free parking) where you can take the train to Edinburgh. Free parking in the facilities as well and we are able to check in early?. Exceptional facilities and the room is very cozy with a great window view and seating.

The location is good.

The room looked lovely and big until we got into it. Stained pillowcases, hairs on the bed. Smell of old / mouldy / damp. The shower didn't work well at all. No pressure, ice cold or either scolding hot. The kettle needs replacing. It took forever to boil so I just left it. Only two plug sockets in the room. One which is used for the TV.

The location is great for early morning flight from Edinburgh International, especially if you have a rental car to drop off:- Off street parking - Close to Asda petrol station - 25-minute drive to airport The room with a private shower / bathroom was spacious. The bed was comfy. The pub next door was an added bonus.

You have to bring your own shampoos and conditioner. Only body wash was provided. No glasses in the room, but there are small mugs for coffee and tea.

The room was comfortable and clean

Only one plug socket near the bed needed an extension lead which we luckily had with us.

We liked the size of the room, the comfy beds, and the cleanliness. The adjacent restaurant was also a good place for dinner.

The shower pressure is poor. Just a trickle...

During our travels we stayed at 6 other different types of accommodation, all same price per night. This stay in comparison had the least amount of small amenities. The hot water fixture for the shower was faulty. The

The location was ok. That is all that was right with this place. The rest was awful. Dirty and smelly.

The place was dirty and smelled bad. The room had a huge tv that we didn't need, but the only plugs were hidden behind the bed. The carpet was filthy and the walls of the shower I think were not cleaned since they built it. The toilet seat was defective and the moment we got the keyes, we never saw any of the staff again. They would get in the room just to make the beds but no cleaning....it was a place that I would never go again. Ever.

A nice quiet place in the middle of a local neighborhood with an excellent restaurant next door, run by the same owner. Our room was at the front of the building and had a large bay window. Good parking at the back of the building.

Large light room. Great food and a good selection of drinks.

Water pressure in the shower was a little low.

Convenient to Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel. Nice little restaurant on site too.

I had a modest single room that was comfortable and well w0rth the cost. The kitchen and bar were excellent! Good food and great service.

The room was awesome, it was our sons 1st hotel stay and he loved it, he's already asked to come back ?

We booked 2 rooms and the rooms were a little faraway but im guessing that couldn't be helped ?

Another great stay on our way between the Highlands and the Midlands, heading south this time. Great room, comfy bed, great shower, amazing value, AND the best curry outside Leicester! (I have to say that!) Management and staff are all great, so welcoming and dog friendly, even to our very chatty Basset! Thoroughly recommend this place.

4th visit now - great curry, comfy bed, good shower, excellent value - very welcoming to Cora our noisy Basset!

Just the bedside light being so dim couldn't read.
