Hotel 52 Stanley

Very clean

Don’t reply to messages and the telephone number doesn’t work. Promised 1pm check in which i had to pay for but this wasn’t possible. Was then told its 2pm but on all paperwork it was 1pm. Asked for invoice but no joy at the moment.

Clean and tidy and warm

Pillows were abit hard and someone smoking cannabis outside which was coming in through the window

Friendly welcome always. Staff always so accommodating. Clean comfy and warm.

The room was clean

The hotel houses drug addicts which are loud all night and try and intimate you when getting into the property. This made my stay very uncomfortable and unpleasant as I was worried about what would be going on during the night and whether I was safe in my room. Additionally, my room door was broken which left me feeling more unsafe

The room was very clean and spacious.

We ended up leaving at 1am and driving home due to the noise from the guest above.

Room was amazing seperate living room to the bedroom. Had everything you would ever need from kettle to cutlery oven to microwave, coffee, sugar. Great location. Best nights sleep had in ages the bed was that comfortable. The list goes on would definitely recommend and if I'm ever staying near that area again il will definitely be booking again. Thank you.

Plenty of space, bright, clean rooms. Friendly staff when we arrived.

Radiator valve in bedroom didn’t work, so heating on fully all night, very hot room making it uncomfortable to sleep.

Bed was comfy

There were stains on the floor when we got in the room last night the extractor fan wouldn't stop all night so no sleep

There is no breakfast on a Monday Tuesday as Rangos is closed but we have had breakfast there before and its lovely. We stayed at hotel 52 because of the location. I requested a double bed as last time we got 2 single beds pushed together and I had bad back. We did get our double bed .

There was only one lamp so it was either put the main light on or just these one lamp. Another lamp on the table woul have been a nice touch.

The lady greeting us we remembered from last time, lovely and friendly,the keys are easy to get, and the rooms are clean with everything you need We were surprised it got cleaned for a 2 night stay, that was a bonusWe love how close to Beamish this hotel is

Our rooms were across from each other so I had a stranger as a neighbour and he was shouting down the phone early morning and late night which I could hear through the wall, angry and swearing so I didn't feel I could approach him myself and having no 24 HR reception I had noone to go to

The staff are very friendly and helpful

The room was small and basic for £100 a night

Staff were lovely couldn’t fault them. The room was clean.

There was no hot water in room or bathroom at Room 22 at all. Even letting run no hot water would come through. I turned the radiator down to 0 as the room was roasting. The room cooled down and I put radiator back up to 5 on our last night and the heating wouldn’t come on The radiator in bathroom didn’t work. We had 2 broken chairs in the room too.

The hotel is very close to were my son lives and ideal we stay here a lot .Rango restaurant is really nice . But not open on a Monday or Tuesday.

The fact there's no Staff on reception can be a issue if you have any problems. I bought little milk cartoms to take with us luckily enough as we ran out .I booked a double room expecting a double bed. But it was 2 single beds pushed together which wasn't very comfortable. This is something I will mention when booking again.

Room was lovely, clean and spacious

Walls very very thin so was noisy from approx 5am, people showering and using toilet etc

Great value. Clean .warm .tea coffee . Nice towels .comfy bed. Clean smells. Good. Quiet . Will deffo stay again.

This is great value hotel . No one on reception but someone on the end of the phone , constantly available. It's basic. But I will definitely stay there again.

Jeanette was very helpful and informative.

It would be helpful for disabled people have access to a seat in the shower. My wife is wheelchair bound.

The location was excellent for what we wanted it for . We did not have breakfast . There was plenty of coffee/ tea and milk available in the room .

We were only staying one night so didn’t have anything negative to report.

The room was clean and tidy, everything needed was in the room such as towels soap, coffee and tea and biscuits were supplied and when called upon the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Had a small problem with the shower, but the staff rectified the issue .
