Hellidon Lakes Hotel

Lovely location, bit difficult to find when factory fit sat nav does not go by postcode! Staff extremely helpful and accommodating. Room (superior double) was very comfortable, plenty of space, shame there wasn't a view from the window. Loved our stay.

Room cleanliness could have been a higher standard for a 4 star hotel, also a little more maintenance is required. Hopefully, these issues will be rectified as hotel is undergoing a makeover

Staff very helpful especially on reception the girl gave me advise on where to get my hair done in Daventry as we were attending a wedding, and I was very pleased.

Hotel pool changing rooms not very clean could definetly do with a refurb

Excellent service at restaurant

Very good suite but poor view.

Exceptionally good staff, comfortable bed, lovely grounds and spa

Personally did not enjoy the breakfast buffet. Would have been nice to have the option of cooked eggs or perhaps porridge.

Location, food, facilities were excellent

The use of the Spa isn't included in the price of the stay

The Breakfast was excellent the standard sort of thing but all done really well. The room was a good size, with an excellently clean en-suite could not fault the bathroom at all. The wellness centre is a must, worth the money for a very relaxing time. The bar service food was really really good with the burger being an amazing challenge..

Although the room was a good size, the cleanliness didn't meet the bathroom, my pet hate is cobwebs and there was a few to notice, the surfaces on the veneered were showing signs of age and in need of a little update. other than that it didn't spoilt the stay.

very nice location, beautiful sunrise and friendly staff

we had to have a few showers but couldn’t air out the damp and steam of the shower therefore room got very hot and smelt damp

The room needs a makeover - it is tired. The bed was very comfy and the shower was excellent. There needs to be power sockets by the sides of the bed.

The main course if the evening meal was delicious but the desert was disappointing. Small tart in a foil tray and dry.

I liked the location, the views and the serviceThe rooms were cleanI would visit again and recommend to friends and familyThe room booked for the party was sound proof so did not affect other guests

The switch went off and few of the guest could not charge their mobile gadgetsWhen the reception was informed it took long for them to resolve the issue. One of the housekeepers is the one who went to check the switch and saw that it had tripped. I know sometimes it impossible but if people are coming for a function try and put them together.

Close to home

No cold water in bathroom Also 4 of us visited but when ordering food from bar only 2 meals come out because chef thought it was a duplicate as they were same items ordered

Breakfast and the food served dinner time

The view was not as beautiful

I love everything about this property it was super amazing. It fresh atmosphere and beautiful views. Clean environment and very peaceful.

Views. Location

Dirty mirror in bedroom and towel holder in toilet too hot. Requires a label to stop visitors touching it.

We had no cold water in the room. A complaint had been lodged but I am yet to receive a reply.

The grounds and facilities were really good

The location is very much out the way and the room we stayed in had a slanted ceiling

Great location and vies but not best served but road system when directed by satnav

A particular gripe was the shower over spilled on the floor as the screen didn’t seal against the bath top. Housekeeping needs a bit of attention, mould from condensation around window frame needs cleaning off.

Staff were excellent. Lovely hotel. Good golf course.

Extra charge for the sauna.

Lovely party venue

Not having lifts to all floors Bad breakfast service on the Monday morn

It was clean and the grounds were nice.

The room was extremely small. Not how shown in the pictures. There was a Christmas party on very loud unable to sleep with the loud music and bottles being taken out to recycling. I emailed the property and never had a response.

Spa was lovely, view from our room was beautiful.

Staff seemed like they didn't want to be there. Lady in the spa was lovely.
