    Pros +

    • It¿s the best on the west coast of Scotland
    • Plockton was a small coastal towns where the tides go in and out twice a day. It was a small fishing village surrounded by trees. The town is a U-shaped. This hotel is in the main area walking distance to restaurants. Our room was in the second floor facing the street number 5, it had peek-a-boo views towards the water, comfy bed, nice pillow, stylish bathroom, bright colors, sitting chairs.
    • We stayed in three different hotels in the UK on our recent trip to England and Scotland and the Plockton Inn, by far, had the most comfortable guest room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food and service in the restaurant for dinner was excellent. We got the breakfast included with our lodging and it was outstanding! The hotel itself looks like an old seaside house but inside it was amazing.

    Cons -

    • We only stayed one night which wasn’t long enough. We didn’t have time to eat in the restaurant. The menu and decor looked great.
    • Would like to have a fridge in the room but hey … everything else was fantastic.
    • Hallways & carpets were truly dilapidated & the room had a noticeable musty odor. Overall, given the very steep pricing, you'd expect significantly more attention to detail to be put into the room. For €80-100 the room would've been perfectly fine. Anything more than that would require the place to invest in urgent maintenance.

The staff was lovely, room and bathroom was very nice, pub was lively for a small village and food was very good. We took a walk around the cute village in the morning after breakfast. I want to stay at their other hotels along the north coast 500 sometime in the future.

Absolutely stunning location! Could not have been more picturesque. The restaurant played local live music in the evening!

Our bags were carried to our room.

This was the most expensive hotel on our road trip to the Outer Hebrides and at £250 for one night (discounted Bookings.com member price) we were expecting it to be a bit of a treat. Our twin room was not in the main building but in 'The Haven' down the road. Our room was up several flights of stairs with frequent heavy fire doors. The room itself was basic staying in a Travel Lodge would provide more comfort. The headboard had fallen off the wall and was just propped on the floor. The extract fan to the spacious but poorly decorated and miserable shower room was incredibly loud. The shower room had non-working recessed ceiling lights and one central light, no mirrors lights, no 'touches of luxury' at all. The decoration was bland and tired. The 'view' from the single small window was of the back garden of adjoining properties.(The property does not overlook the loch)We were woken after midnight by other guests shouting and banging doors repeatedly as they returned to their rooms. There were food items missing off the menu in the restaurant so choice was limited. We had drinks added to our bill that we had not ordered.Breakfast was mediocre. The off-street parking is extremely limited, and we have a small car.All this can be yours for £250+!!Awful. Do not stay here.

    Really not much

Overpriced, location wise the town really doesn’t have anything to offer, the room didn’t seem particularly clean compared to other hotels we’ve stayed at in highlands

As in real estate, this hotel is mostly about location, location, location.Plockton is a small village tucked away behind two - mostly - single track roads, it is peaceful, and its little port and surrounding nature are beautiful. It is a great place to visit the Isle of Skye from.A highlight of our trip through Scotland The staff is young, dedicated, kind and helpful. The kitchen is okay. At our first night, the kitchen staff had fallen ill and the restaurant had a replacement chef. We had a superb dinner with the langoustines, salmon, young potatoes, and crisp kale cooked to perfection

Great staff at the Plockton Inn. Even when the restaurant was closed they let the hotel guests use the tables for eating takeaway. Very friendly and courteous to add more joy to thw trip.

The breakfast was good and the room was nice and updated. The dinner food in the restaurant was okay.

Almost everything. It was totally misrepresented online. The outside did NOT look like this picture. It was dirty, old and worn out looking. The tables out front looked ancient and were not in great shape. I booked this location in January and paid $215.70 and it was the worst room we stayed in while in Scotland. They put us in The Haven, a hotel next door that they had purchased. They DID NOT make this clear that they could do this when I booked the room. Not only was the room on the 3rd floor without an elevator, it was in the far back corner and there was mold in the bathroom and cobwebs in the doorway. The carpet was also heavily stained. The town was not “quaint “ as portrayed, it too looked like a worn out town with nothing in it to do or see except one other hotel. This stop was a huge disappointment all around. I would NOT recommend staying here.

Quiet, beautiful surroundings. Spacious. Comfortable beds. Restaurant just downstairs with delicious food. Complimentary breakfast was nice.

Rooms were very warm and no air circulation since no air conditioning or fans. Would be nice to have screens on the windows to prevent bugs from flying in.

Great locations and the food was delicious. Our picky teenagers said it was the best meal they had in Scotland. We ordered a drink the bartender wasn’t familiar with and he went out of his way to find out the ingredients and make it.

One room had issues with the toilet and a sign above it indicating they were aware of the problems. We were unable to flush the toilet and given it was the middle of the night we didn’t get it resolved before checkout.

Lovely room and en-suite facilities Friendly staff

Food was very poor quality for the price charged . We were advised to book into the restaurant due to lack of options in the area . But the dining experience was very disappointing - really just pub food at restaurant prices . Food lacked flavour and was clearly microwaved . The manager did address the issues we had . I personally found the dining room lacked ambiance and harsh lighting .

Quaint, local hotel, great location. Good food and comfortable beds.

We were welcomed and showed to our room promptly on arrival. The rooms were clean and cozy though a bit small. The breakfast was very good!. We ate both mornings. We were a bit late with the dinner and the options were limited but generally the food quality was good.

The location is a bit remote and getting there via one lane road was a bit of a challenge.

The hotel is actually two different properties that are located side by side to each other. The one has a lovely bar with a nice selection of whiskys and the other is the hotel we stayed in, where the breakfast was also served. The breakfast was really good (hotel breakfast in UK is hit and miss, this one was definitely a hit).

The rooms are a bit dated and you could hear your neighbours, I guess there is not much you can do at this point to the noise part given that the properly is pretty old

    NEVER EVER AGAIN

Disgusting room, staines dirt and everything was nasty!!!! Mold in the bathroom everywhere see my pictures. We booked a room at the Plockton inn but we were „deported“ to a hotel called the Haven. The pictures I’m uploading here speak for itself. I will do my best to get a refund via booking.com because this is unacceptable traveling with an infant. I‘m shocked and disgusted !

The staff at the Plockton Inn were so incredibly inviting and created a wonderful atmosphere for our stay. The room was decorated with such care and warmth and the restaurant/food was incredible! I had an amazing experience!

    That we couldn’t stay longer.
